Bethesda Southgate

It's without a doubt too expensive to be a C-Town but it's also cleaner than any C-Town i've ever been to, good selection of ale, wish they had Brooklyn Stout. Staff not unfriendly but appear to not understand social etiquette, still another Bronx neighbourhood, get yours and c u later

Small supermarket, yet they have options that even my big location doesn't have. Even after requesting. Employees & Shoppers know each other as if it's an episode of "Cheers". Every few minutes I would hear "Hi so & so! How's your family? Is Mom ok?" I've never seen such coziness in a store before. The only downside I would say is that the aisles are narrow.

Very clean and organized store. The staff is super friendly. Omar runs the beer section and is the nicest guy ever! Best market on City Island!

When an employee and an ex-employee places their loved ones in Bethesda-Southgate’s care, you know the level of care is exceptional. I work for a non-profit that places developmentally disabled adults in volunteer positions around St. Louis learning job and inter communication skills. This is, by far, the most supportive, compassionate community not only for my individuals but the residents in care. I have recommended Southgate several times and would be comfortable placing my love one in their care. The dining room staff, the nursing home staff all the way to the Administrator have embraced their duty to excellence in caring for their residents.

I could write a long review to explain why we chose Bethesda Southgate above the many I visited. Everyone has their own list of must have accommodations. The bottom line for me was to do business with a group that projects that they are honest, competent and caring. I think that Bethesda Southgate goes to great length to hire employees that actually want to do the hard and demanding job of caring for it's residents. Of course they are not 100% successful and I doubt that any are, but there are many employees that have and continue to have long term careers at Southgate. My interactions with staff during the 2 months my wife has been in the memory lane section are overall very high. Upper management has an open door policy and have addressed any questions or problems that I have approached them with honestly and as expeditiously as possible within the constraints that they must follow.
I have never experienced a bad odor on memory lane, the floors are constantly being cleaned and the food that I have tasted is well prepared.
I always hesitate to give anyone a 5 star rating. In this case I am willing to do so based on employee and managements effort to accomplish a terribly hard job as well as they can.
