“My journey with this group began in late 2015. I was confined to a wheelchair, super morbidly obese, all joints of my hips & knees shot. 3 prior surgeons refused to work on me due to size. Thankfully, Dr. David Paul gave me the opportunity to regain my mobility, my ambulation, and frankly, my life back. My hips were done in 2016, my knees in 2018 & 2019, respectively. With each surgery, I gained mobility, thus letting me incorporate physical activity to support my changes in fueling my body. With each surgery, recovery was quicker and less painful than the previous. I now walk daily, work out at the gym 6 days a week, hike, shop independently, go up and down steps all day long! I have now graduated to “2 year checkups,” and while it will be strange not having these 3/6 month checkups, none of this would have been possible without the brilliance and compassion of an extremely skilled surgeon like Dr. David Paul, and the most caring and professional staff of this Orthopedic Group. There's no complaints from me; any questions I have or issues it's answered or explained even with alternatives if you don't know or need to do your own research (if u are a part of ur care too) without any pressure of "this is the only" way to treat, they talk in terms that you can relate with. Being in the medical field is a different set of questions for the Drs from me & I'm not one but, I do prefer other options & when there isn't any, they let that be known too!
