An all around nice place to stop when heading through on 81. The Chester Chicken meal was delicious, bathrooms were clean, staff was kind. It is a great addition to a small community with the attached grocery store! Lots of variety and great selection of meats.

I am reading down through the reviews. I find it interesting how some form their opinions. To each there own. I have nothing bad to say. I am from out of town. Needed a place to park for the night. Glad I chose to stop here. I had a nice dinner. Portions were more than normal by far. Food was good. Service was exceptional. Plenty of parking for trucks. Very well supplied grocery store. This is just a all around nice place to stop. America needs more down to earth stops like this.

What a great little community store on the east side of Shelby, Nebraska! I had not been to Shelby in over 30 years and really enjoyed stopping at this location. Sure maintenance in the restrooms could have been a little better, BUT the whole store was really inviting. There is a place to sit and eat for the locals to have conversation. There is a nice grocery store attached to gas station. Also, it is the home of the 75 cent ice cream cone. Going here brought back many small town Nebraska memories. I will stop in next time that I am in town!
