“I think the joint is called Terrible Herbst. Was looking for a cooler but they were out so I think it was the owner who gave me two Styrofoam coolers for free with my beer and ice. Nice place.”

“Very nice park. Beautiful views from the Lake view sites. Restroom is nice and clean, but quite a distant from our campsite. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Will Definately stay here again and highly recommend it to others. Only drawback is it is in the Lake Mead National Recreational Area, so know you have to pay $25 to enter the National Park or use an allowed pass. Your space rental does not cover entrance to the National Park.”

“One of the best experiences we've had kayaking. The 2 days trip was amazing, great people, beautiful landscapes and a funn paddle. Will do again when kids grow up.”

“Spacious lots, pretty view from our spot (#119), and surprisingly quiet (at least while we were here). The bathrooms are okay, not the cleanest I've been in, but I was willing to use them during the day instead of the RV, so that says something! We also had a lot of green, but the Vegas area has had an unusual amount of rain this year! The lake is a farther walk away than it appears, but as my husband says, I'm a city girl, so maybe I'm spoiled! Definitely will come back (in spring months, no hookups at our spot)!”

“We stopped here to have a pic nik. It was very calm and peaceful. Google took us on some dirt road which we thought was weird. But we were able to get into the park for free. As we were leaving, we relived that if you take the proper road, that you are suppose to pay to get in. So thanks google. This place has a great view of Lake Mead.”

“Easy in and out with our 33 foot rig and toad. You will need about 50 feet of hose. The spigot is in the middle of the circle where the bathrooms are and you can get to it from either side. There is a big dumpster there to dispose of trash. A lot of room to turn a rig around.”

“Wow, what a magnificent trail...s. There were a few alternate routes up the mountain. We tried following the marks or cairns, but eventually gave up and followed whatever trail we saw first --- they pretty much all led to to the top of turtlehead peak anyway. The incline is fairly steep. Remember that on the way down as your knees protest. Hiking poles helped. Once you're on top, you're treated to a beautiful 360 view of the surrounding area, including a view of Vegas from afar”

“Calico tanks was my favorite trail. It’s definitely a little more aggressive so if you are opposed to climbing over rocks and kind of creating your own trail to the top, this trail is probably not for you. It starts off relatively easy and gets exponentially harder. The views are incredible and the Ranger and told us to go past the big tank and climb up the opposite wall for an incredible view of Las Vegas and red rock canyon. It was very impressive. The beauty was unimaginable too. I would highly recommend this hike over the others that we did!”

“Fairly easy trail with beautiful views of the desert. Quiet and great place to take dogs during cooler months but avoid during the summertime. Need to drive off pavement for about 10 mins go access trail.”

“Awesome hike up the ice box. Navigating the boulders is a lot of fun. Keep going till you get to the end. You'll know when your there as there's no where else to go. Once you reach the base of the waterfall you can climb the steep rocks to the left then cross over to the right side, climb some more then hop back to the left side to view a large pool of water and feel some spray from the waterfall. That last bit is not for the faint of heart but well worth the effort. My son went one step further and took a dip in the icy cold water. What a great adventure!”

“This is an amazing place to feel much better about where you're away in life and where you want to be. There are different classes for little kids and you get the direction from God that you're looking for! Everyone is welcome and don't feel like "I'm going to burn if I put even one foot into that church building" it's just not true! I hope you find what you're looking for!”
