We love Doctor Plurard, I have three kids (13,8 and newborn) we can't go with somebody else since we met him 12 years ago, he is simply the best!

We have been going to Dr. Plurad for the past 14 years. Started out with my first kid and now we have 5. They all love going there.

Black Diamond has some of the best and most well rounded instructors. It's a great place for kids and women who are interested in the sport. The atmosphere is safe and encouraging. I highly recommend Black Diamond.

I switched to this gym after training at a nearby gym and the difference is night and day! The instructors have a variety of styles and are all very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. The students are all very respectful and friendly which creates a great atmosphere. I highly recommend training here for both new and experienced students, there is plenty to gain for all levels.

My husband and I took the self defense class and had a blast throwing each other around! The teachers were so patient and great at showing us how to do the moves. Highly recommend!

Been with Dr. Plurad Jr and his staff Suzanne and Cathy since 1991. I love them!!

I’ve been training at this school for awhile now as well as a couple other BJJ schools in Reno. TBH I prefer this school the most because I get better instruction compared to the others. The two coaches here are gurus in all things Brazilian Jujitsu at a very high level. Both competition wise as well as self defense. I’m starting to feel like I can hold my own against an attacker and I have a great game plan from all the training. The class sizes at this school are generally smaller than most schools, and I appreciate the extra attention I get. I get all the help I want each class and end up learning more. The students there are chill and friendly. You can tell they want to help each other get better.

There is about twice the mat space than the other schools I’ve visited/trained at. The place is huge with room to spread out while rolling. I also like that they have multiple private changing rooms and multiple bathrooms.

This school has better value than the other schools and is less money per month to train than anywhere I’ve ever trained at.

I’ve always liked the Double Diamond area. I think the community out there feels clean and safe.
