  Here's my experience, the doctor is wonderful! Dr.Avery Mas. He is kind, compassionate & caring. My experience with the tech Beth was wonderful and actually not the 1st time I was fortunate enough to deal with her.
  The front desk ladies are sweet and very friendly.
  THEN, after having the misfortune of having Cathy as our tech today, it was a completely different experience. What a condescending, rude, unprofessional phoney she is. I WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH HER AGAIN!!
  If you are unfortunate enough to have Cathy, trust me, RUN!!!!

  I see the reviews for one star. This is a walk in emergency facility. You may need to wait 3 hours! I took my sick dog in there on November 3, 2019 and we waited 2 hours before being seeing. A woman who I am assuming was the manager came out every 15-20 minutes to update us on the wait. I would have waited 10 hours for my dog. We went in the exam to find out our dog had cancer total shock to us and we had to put him down. We were in that exam room for 2 hours trying to control our emotions. We were never rushed by any staff members or Dr. The Dr. was so compassionate as well as the staff. So when you are out there in the waiting room wondering was is taking so long it’s people like us that just lost a big part of our family. Thank you to the Dr. and staff. Although it was not easy and we are completely devastated we appreciate every second you dedicated to us.

  Last night we had a scare later on the evening that our cat broke her leg. We took her to North Star and had an excellent experience. From Lois at the front desk, to the vet techs, and the doctor herself, everyone was super kind, welcoming and helpful. The pricing was extremely fair and service and level of care was incredible. You can tell these people are animal lovers and are very compassionate towards your pet. I would highly recommend if you’re having a pet emergency! They are open 24/7. Thank you again for helping our baby girl get better!!!

  I was at this vet once before when my dog got into a houseguest’s medicines on a holiday weekend. They were great and she ended up being just fine.
  
  The reason I really wanted to give this place a top review, however, is for the kindness they displayed more recently when my elderly cat suddenly died from a heart attack. The staff was so incredibly compassionate and thoughtful in my family’s time of grief. Staffing an emergency office must be a very difficult job and they do it beautifully. I know they did everything they could for him and for us and it means a lot.

  The staff at the Maple Shade Emergency Vet are amazing. My dog, Max, hurt his leg. He was limping and in pain. From the second we walked in everyone was so welcoming and caring. While we were waiting Gina came up to Max to give him treats and pet him. It isn’t fun having an injured family member, but again, a big shout out to Gina who made the wait bearable by patiently answering all of our questions and making Max feel safe and welcome. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic!
