“A wonderful, affordable place for the whole family (including the dog!) to spend an afternoon. Fares are only $5 for kids, $8 for seniors and $10 for adults. Kids under 6, dogs and bicycles all ride for free! The ferries are well maintained and the staff and crew are super friendly. The trip across the Delaware bay is relaxing and enjoyable and you might spot a pod of dolphins or a few whales on the trip. There's even an eagle nesting at one of the docks on the Lewes, Delaware side! The ferry route across the Delaware Bay is actually a continuation of US Route 9 between NJ and Delaware. A great 90 minute break from the drive if you're traveling up or down the east coast by car, motorcycle or RV and very reasonable fares. Five stars all around for the Cape May - Lewes ferry!”
