“We needed our electrical checked after an incident with our stove the previous night. Steve came out right on time and was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He explained the changes that needed to be made to correct the problem involving our kitchen wiring and breaker box. He completed the work efficiently and was a pleasant gentleman to chat with while he worked. Everything was done in a neat fashion. I can’t recommend Appleton Electrical enough!”

“I don’t know why this hotel has only 3.2 stars. It’s by far the nicest one around thanks in huge part to the night security, they are definitely on top of things that go on around here. It also has cameras which is nice and it’s extremely bright outside thanks to the big lights out front. The rooms are clean and the staff is cool. Kristina works at night,she’s friendly and got me checked in pretty quick. I’d recommend this motel 6 for sure.”

“The staff here are very friendly and they have a free shuttle to the airport. The food at the restaurant is very good and the happy hour makes it easy to relax before stumbling to bed drunk with a sandwich in your belly. The actual rooms are generous sized with comfortable beds. Only downside is the noise from the planes but that is what you get from being so close to the airport. I liked how I could be so close to the airport and not have to leave the hotel to eat and drink. The tvs are a good size and parking is free if you are a member.”

“The room was amazing for a long stay. The staff were very hospitable and accommodating. Questions answered without hesitation, especially for us who travelled from out of country. Edgar (front desk) even gave us a map he had printed himself of Manhattan. The small touches made it the best, free coffee all day. Would definitely reccomend.”

“Overnight stay from the airport. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom had dirty grout. Front desk was accommodating to our very late check in. Fridge at the front desk “store” was out of stock of almost everything but we did get I fairly late. Great breakfast selections. Would stay here again.”

“The Short Hills Hilton has been the upscale hotel of choice in the southwest Essex County area for years. Directly across a very busy street from The Short Hills Mall, it is still an impressive place. I enjoyed lunch there with a friend. Service was attentive and the food surprisingly good for a hotel. The Hotel also boasts a Spa -- haven't been there in years but it was quite good -- and banquet and meeting facilities. Gave it four instead of five stars as I haven't been in a guest room for ages and the underground parking lot can be forbidding.”

“A bit of an oxymoron. From the exterior, you would expect a mundane, perhaps even a substandard property, but it is, in fact quite the opposite. The staff was more than helpful, the rates reasonable, and the rooms were not only clean, but well-maintained. You definitely get the sense that the building has been there for quite some time, and the furniture and fixtures are, at best, ordinary, but what it lacks in style it more than makes up for in comfort. The linens, towels and bathroom accommodations were all exceptionally clean, and the carpeting, walls and furniture did not feel grimy or unkempt. I had no problems taking my shoes and socks off for this room. I found the mattress extremely comfy. The other two business travelers with me agreed that their hotel rooms were similarly comfortable and clean. Really, the only downside was that like just about every other part of Route 46 in New Jersey on business mornings, traffic is nightmarish. But then, that's really not the hotel's fault, now is it?”
