    This place is a little tough to find. The signage could definitely use some improvement so you can see from the road, which businesses are inside the building. But the doctor's office itself is nice. I like the down to earth doctor.

    I'm writing this review as a patient who started going to Seretiscare at 18 for weight loss management 15 years ago. My primary at the time was Underwood Family and then South Jersey Family/Medicine in Cinnaminson after that. I switched to Seretis because I fully trust and find them capable and understanding. I'd like to address some of the negative reviews on here so people can realize and understand they are perhaps undeserved.

    WAIT TIME - I have fibromyalgia, arthritis and have had skin issues plus damaged my knee and ankle. This means I've seen many specialists and doctors. Almost EVERY doctor I have ever been to has an average wait time of 15-30 minutes. The longest being my old primary at 40. There have been times at Seretis that I had to wait 20 minutes to be called and other times I am taken back IMMEDIATELY upon check in. It is the luck of the draw and no matter where you go this is going to be the standard so get use to it.

    REFERRALS - Depending on your insurance it can take a lot of back and forth between the doctors office, the insurance and the specialist you're going to see. It can take a day to a week to get a referral processed. To speed up the process of a referral ALWAYS provide your Primary with the NPI number, the name that NPI is registered to, the Doctor you will be seeing, the ADDRESS of the facility you are going, the DATE of your APPOINTMENT AND a FAX number. By NOT providing this you are asking an already busy office who has OTHER referrals besides yours to go ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate you. SOME doctors offices would charge for this services but as a courtesy to you, Seretis does not. They do not bill you or your insurance for this service but they are paying their receptionists to do the job anyway. If it is taking a lot time its because you haven't provided them all the details they needed OR your insurance is pushing back. I use to have United Healthcare Oxford which was extremely hard to process referrals for. I would make sure to have all details prior to requesting the referral as you should too.

    PRE-AUTHORIZATIONS/PRE-APPROVALS - This is at the leisure of your insurer and depends on the necessity of the testing or medication needed. Sometimes it takes a little bit to gather all of the information required by the insurance provider. Call your provider prior to requesting the pre-authorization and ask what they need to facilitate a speedy approval. I have NEVER had an approval take longer than TWO DAYS.

    YES YOU NEED TO DO YOUR OWN INSURANCE LEG WORK... YOU ARE THE INSURED. The doctors office isn't getting paid to do this work for you so stop expecting them to.

    PHARMACY REQUESTED REFILLS - They absolutely WILL respond to pharmacy requested refills as I've had them done several times. Perhaps your pharmacy isn't being as honest with you as you think they are. Try speaking with Seretis or calling their refill line to confirm they received the request. If they didn't its likely your pharmacy never put it through. Alternatively, the medication being requested is something they require a new visit to renew such as antibiotics, muscle relaxers, or the end of an extended refill (6+ refills). If you have used all 6 refills by law you are generally supposed to revisit your doctor to maintain a patient doctor relationship in order to continue receiving those prescriptions. This is a Federal and State law and they could have their DEA license revoked for violating it. Please learn these laws before making assumptions. Also, things like controlled substances for Attention Deficit Disorder require PAPER Prescriptions and cannot be electronically sent to a pharmacy. Period.

    LABS/BILLING - Learn what your insurance pays for and review the lab prescription before getting lab work done to know whether your insurance will cover it. Discuss this with the lab itself if you are unsure. If you do not clearly explain yourself and do not educate yourself on what is being done to you you are opening yourself up to anyone who wants to take advantage or misunderstands you. BE SMART.
