“Very nice and well-kept rail trail. After biking the whole thing, I think the Southern leg (starting off from the quaint town of High Bridge's trailhead) is much more scenic. There are not too many road crossings, thankfully. There's a slight grade (really, feels like you're always going uphill to some small degree - heading out, or coming back), but nothing too back-breaking. By far the most serene, scenic, and LONG trail in this quiet corner of NJ.”

“A convenient place to launch car top or similar small boats. Some larger boats are permitted but their motors must be less than 10 hp. Nice views on clear days. Most parts of the reservoir are less than an hour paddle back to the parking lot. It can get crowded on weekends.”

“Serene and peaceful with easy access to the gorge and beautiful views. We saw a blue heron that was magnificent and was nicely camouflaged with the rocks and the water. Fly fishing is a common sight. A nice walk or run.”
