“Our recent stay (September 2018) at the Ocean House in Spring Lake was like a little piece of heaven. Days on the pristine beach drinking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean, against a backdrop of the picture-perfect town and lake... Staying at the Ocean House, one of the huge old mansions that were converted into B&Bs, was a delight. It's beautifully decorated and kept in top-notch condition. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The breakfasts were elegant, including delicious home-made specialties that change from day to day; you can enjoy the meal and a newspaper or book on the large cozy wrap-around porch. The hotel is a block away from the beach, and provides the amenities you need: beach chairs, towels, and a convenient shower to clean off after your time on the beach. Best of all, the owners Jared and Colleen, with their two adorable little ones (and in fact all the staff), create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like our home away from home. We can't wait to go back!”
