I went there because I had a dead battery earlier in the day and they came outside and quickly checked my battery to make sure that my battery was still good. They were honest and told me I did not need to buy inexpensive new battery and gave me suggestions on what I should do if it happens again. They did not rush me and happily answered all my questions and gave me recommendations and help me out.”

“I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Denville Transmission. I highly recommend Denville Transmission, without hesitation. This locally-owned family business is second to none in quality, skill, craftsmanship, and an honest diagnosis of your vehicle. Rob, Michael, and the folks at the Denville Transmission family not only have tremendous talent, do high quality work, and run their own *machine shop*.....they have INTEGRITY and HONESTY. Why do I say this? Long story short, they could have sold me a new transmission, but they chose honesty, and they didn't. Let's just say the mechanics at the local dealership I consistently took my mini-van to for repairs for years diagnosed that the transmission was kaput. They said I should pack up the car and have it towed to the junkyard, and they would set me up with a new purchase. Did I see the computer codes that they presumably saw, assuming they actually screened the computer? No, I did not. I took their word for it. For years, we have heard great things about neighboring Denville Transmission and because they are so local, we have driven by many times. They always look buzzing busy, and we knew if we ever needed transmission help, we would go there to have them take a look. Despite the fact that Denville Transmission stood to make much more money on rebuilding the transmission, they diagnosed that there were no codes screening for a transmission problem. However, completely unrelated to the transmission, they did find a severely damaged left axle, which was likely responsible for the loud clunking noises. They replaced the axle, and the battery for precaution, I took the car home to drive around, and we all knew a transmission code might resurface. In the past 6 days, I've driven the mini-van more than 500 miles to test it out! It's driving better than before - SAME transmission, no codes yet. We are grateful to have met the good folks at Denville Transmission.”
