“Garret Mountain ideal hiking/walking trail and loop. Well populated so females can feel safe for ealjs/runs during daylight hours. Sheriff vans constantly patrolling the park mountain area and some situated in standing areas for immediate assistance. 8 years experience and never a problem.”

“I love this place so much! My cross country team comes by once or twice every season to run, and I love it so much! The view is always so beautiful and the course is rather serene (if you ignore the horse feces). If I didn't live over an hour away, I would definitely stop by more often just for fun. (Also, that castle structure is very fun!! Definitely check it out if you have a chance!)”

“It's a nice park. It has a decent size playground, with swings, sides and stuff to climb on. It has a skate park and a full court for basketball that's enclosed. There's a fishing pond, which is catch and release and has a small pier. My only complaint would be the water park playground that cost $5.00 to enter. Also the bathrooms are clean and the have real have soap.”

“I went there with my family years ago when my son was in elementary school. Now he is all grown up. This park designed as a fairy tale village. Every little house shows the scene from different fairy tale. There was Snow White and seven dwarfs, Red riding hood, Pinokkio, etc. Its very cute and kids loved it. Of course back then kids were much easier to impress . I think this park opens only for holidays. We've been there for Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. My favorite was Christmas . It looks very whimsical with all those holiday lights.”

“It is an entry to many trails. But it has very small parking lot. Abou 200 feet to north there is another parking lot. If you take Blue trail to west, you can reach several scenic lookouts. The trail is closed south beyond the Osio Rock lookout. I saw a bear from this trail. Several years ago a hiker was killed by a bear around this area. The Blue trail to east leads you the famous lookout Wyanokie High Point where you can see New York City skyline, Wanaque Reservoir and New Jersey and New York Highlands. On the way to the High Point you can stop by beautiful Chikahokie Falls.”
