  Great store with a solid selection of gear and shoes for runners at all levels. I stopped in this past week to pick up some new trainers and I felt very satisfied with the service provided. Matt and McKayla were very knowledgeable about all of their products, and they let me try each of the shoes I was interested in, even letting me jog around in them! I settled with the hoka clifton 9’s and it’s one of the best trainers out there. Chefs kiss to this place, glad we finally have a specialty running store in sussex county.

  Work walking on ER floor, always loved Merrill’s. Last pair felt too heavy. I’d been referred here by a good friend. Sprained ankle in a brace and hobbled in today. Told to ask for Matt but Leah greeted me. I was surprised by the cool computerized way to measure my foot. The 1st pair she brought out was the pair I bought! This is my shoe store from now on. Old store, fits and laces ,meets future. Perfect computerized measurements.

  We just went to Root Runners in Sparta today, I purchased a pair of Brooks sneakers for our 10 year old daughter. What an amazing staff! So friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thank you Root Runners.

  I was in desperate need of a quality pair of running sneakers for my half marathon that was coming up in a few months. I was a decently avid runner prior, but always ran in basic Nike's that I didn't realize had zero support. When I got to root runners, Matt, the owner, stayed with me the entire time, giving me a personal one on one experience. They have a foot scanning system which shows your exact shoe size and everything there is to know about the balls, width, etc of your feet. After that, he had me try on multiple styles and even let me jog outside with them to find the perfect fit! He taught me SO many things about the fit and feel of a shoe, and even taught me that I had been wearing the wrong size running sneaker for years! All I can say is that I never got the service or the education at any regular retail store like this. I will 100% be going back when I'm due for a new pair.

  I am someone that likes to run but does not have much familiarity on what sneakers work best for me. On multiple occasions I have visited Root Runners and someone from their team has taken the time to work with me on finding the right match. Their running sneaker knowledge is strong and their attitude is consistently positive. They do a good job of explaining things so you can understand what different sneakers provide. I would recommend checking them out.
