I followed her from Joli Salon and the experience here at her very own salon in River Edge, Sara Michael Salon, is exponentially better! The salon is absolutely beautiful, modern, and the atmosphere could not be friendlier. Sara and her husband, Mike, have created a salon that, though modern as can be, takes us back to a time when shopkeepers were like family. They offer coffee, pastries, and a generous helping of warmth and geniality. I cannot recommend a salon more highly!”

“PROS: This place has the best barbers I've ever been too. I always ask for either Julian or Juan because they're the only ones that can cut my hair without it looking like a lightbulb. The atmosphere is colorful, the people are upbeat, all the barbers have a bond with many of their regulars, and they even have a PS4 if you choose to play it while you wait. CONS: Unfortunately you have to park either down the street or in a parking lot a block away. Its also a long wait during most times and hardly enough room on the couches for you to wait on (make appointment, don't just walk in) They also just have a one person bathroom which I'm not sure if a customer can use. OVERALL: The service is amazing and the prices are good for the quality you get. Definitely a place where they treat everyone with respect and all the natives go too”

“Anne is great! Very down-to-earth and no frills. She gave me a major cut a few weeks ago (I asked for at least seven inches off) and quelled my fears about flat, lifeless hair. She made it super buoyant and full! I won't go to anyone else now. I even called to say I wanted to go a little shorter and she had me come in the next day and took every layer up an inch (not just the bottom) free of charge. I highly recommend her, especially since she uses organic products and is mindful of chemicals!”
