“Very nice and well-kept rail trail. After biking the whole thing, I think the Southern leg (starting off from the quaint town of High Bridge's trailhead) is much more scenic. There are not too many road crossings, thankfully. There's a slight grade (really, feels like you're always going uphill to some small degree - heading out, or coming back), but nothing too back-breaking. By far the most serene, scenic, and LONG trail in this quiet corner of NJ.”
