“This was truly one of the most fun and relaxing activities I’ve ever done! As a beginner, I was intimidated before going in, but the environment is so peaceful and supportive and the owner + everyone that works there are kind, helpful, and welcoming. I had many questions and they were so patient and happy to guide me. This experience is amazing for beginners and experienced artists alike, you could tell from all of the different levels of people in the studio when we went — beginner and experienced adults, a family, a children’s birthday party, and experienced people creating their own pottery. I love that so many of their options for painting were both functional and fun — I painted a teapot that I’ll be using for years and my friend painted a taco holder shaped like a llama that we can’t wait to use. This was such a unique experience to share with someone and definitely more fun than the usual “dinner and drinks”. It also just felt so much more personal and comfortable than any other art studio I’ve been to. I will definitely be back to paint more pottery and I also really want to try their wheel throwing class! Highly, highly recommend That Pottery Place for a date, group of friends, family, or even an amazing way to unwind and practice self care on your own.”

“I had an amazing experience at this facility today. I lost my husband to Covid last January and since he did all the recycling I now have to take over that chore. I had bags of soil from potted plants sitting in my yard and didn’t know how to dispose of them. I went to the facility to ask what I should do. I met some extremely helpful gentlemen, they offered to come to my home and take the bags for me. Within 10 minutes two guys arrived and took everything were so pleasant and helpful. It made my day to see that there really are amazing people doing their jobs everyday without much recognition. Proud to live in Spring Lake Heights.”
