My wife and I had an amazing time with Rachel and Halle! We went out for a two hour trail ride on Apollo and Boo and the four of us had a lovely ride. Did some trailblazing which was dope, and got to experience Carson National Forest which we will remember for a lifetime. We will definitely do a wilderness ride with them in our future!

If you're wanting a real horse experience, one that involves lessons in understanding horses, nature of riding, and the relational aspect, as well as off-the-beaten path riding, this is for you. Rachel was very sweet in helping us coordinate with her father, Chance for our ride in El Rito. Chance was generous in passing along wisdom and training. He is gentle and firm with instruction, inspiring a grounded confidence in riding. His horses are obviously very well cared for and accepted us new riders with ease. Would return.

For my 30th bday all I wanted to do was be on the back of a horse somewhere serene experiencing the great outdoors. My friend and I traveled 2 hours from Albq to El Rito and rode a half day with Chance in the Carson National Forest and it was beautiful! When we first showed up he had us properly meet the horses and brush up on our knowledge while also making sure we were comfortable before heading out on the trails. I fell in love with my horse Alamo, he was the sweetest! We were able to go to a waterfall and let the horses drink and take a small break before heading back, running the horses up the mountain taking the scenic route and wading thru a couple streams. Chance checked on us multiple times throughout the ride to make sure we were feeling good and also telling us what was coming up on the trail and how to maneuver safely. He made the entire time riding enjoyable and fun. This was the best experience I’ve ever had and I would do it a million times more. If you enjoy riding horses or even if you’ve never been and it’s something your considering I’d highly recommend Red Horse Riding Company!
