“My experience with Dr Trivedi has been nothing but positive. I am informed that my surgery was difficult due to my height. My surgery was very successful and I came through with no complications. I feel that the most important issue with any doctor is their medical competence. I will take competence over style any day. Dr. Trivedi is both competent, kind and caring. I acknowledge that he is sometimes brisk but he is managing a large program with many patients. I appreciated the extensive time he took with me post-surgery to ensure that the procedure remains successful. His staff are all top notch and very helpful. I give this office my highest recommendation.”

“I came here for a vasectomy and the entire experience from start to finish was so unbelievably positive. Dr. Welliver was my surgeon and made the initial consultation so much less awkward with his personable and lighthearted attitude. Insurance required a month’s wait before I could get the surgery, which was frustrating but had nothing to do with them. Once scheduled, I was a little confused when they told me they couldn’t tell me what time to come in until the day before surgery. This got in the way of organizing a ride there, so I had to drive myself at 6 in the morning and leave my car there, since I couldn’t drive home myself. A security guard and receptionist were both visibly confused when I showed up and said I had an appointment, which was pretty odd, but they soon realized I was, “on the list.” Still, I couldn’t be happier with my procedure. Every person I interacted with was above and beyond kind and nurturing, which I really needed considering how nervous I was. I was so relieved when offered the option of sedation. When I came to, the hospital had no vegan options to offer (which in 2022 is strange to me), so all I could get was an apple juice. Again, still hard to complain considering how nice and professional everyone who took care of me was. When I finally looked at my balls the next day, I was shocked to see that they’d pulled this off without any blood or bruising! I was led to expect a little of both, but there was NONE.”

“For Albany Med, this is a reasonably good and friendly practice. Medical and clerical staff are efficient and capable. The only odd thing about AMC's Department of Psychiatry is that it is very heavily filled with Clinical Psychologists. That's not a bad thing--I see a licensed clinical psychologist for psychotherapy myself. I still don't know why there are so many PhD's and so few MD's--I suspect it may be that no student from the School of Medicine expects to become a practicing psychiatrist via AMC. It is nearly impossible to find an MD here even if one is only seeking periodic medication maintenance. It's odd, and I don't know if AMC is doing anything to change this. Since the med school is directly adjacent to the County's Mental Hospital, you'd think they'd have this figured out.”

“I had a great experience here. I went for a routine eye exam and was hoping for something more thorough than what I had been getting from the mall-based optometrists. TL;DR, I'll definitely be back. Here's some things I really appreciated: 1. Dilation is encouraged and as a patient I was prepared for this when I made the appointment, when I received the appointment reminder, and at check in. At other places, I felt like dilation was being discouraged so they could offer an "Opto Photo" or whatever it's called which is not an equal replacement (basically, do you want fries with your eye exam?). 2. My prescription was taken two times (the "which is better - 1 or 2, A or B" thing), once by an assistant, and then later confirmed by the doctor. We made a tweak the second time, which was really important to me, as getting the prescription as close to perfect as possible will directly affect how I see things for the next year. The doctor had absolutely no issues taking me through it again, and showed me the difference between my current glasses and new prescription. It was quite significant. 3. I felt no pressure at all to purchase glasses there. I was given my pupilary distances on request without hassle. At other places, I've only felt pressured to buy things, and was never able to get a straight answer on my PD.”

“This place is always clean. They typically have a lot of dryers and washers available for use. They also have washers/dryers that are large enough to accommodate blankets. You can also use your debit/credit card if you don’t have cash. However they do put holds on it in increments of $10 each time you swipe it. The last wash is at 9pm daily. They also have a mini store inside that sells soap and other laundry stuff. Parking sucks though… so be prepared for that.”

“Sonia is an awesome attendant. Dryers are hot as hell. I got a massive amount of sheets dried in 33 mins! I also like the points system that gives you cash towards future machine use when you use the laundry card. Very little staff so if you have an issue you need to call the phone number. Money spent here goes towards taking care of cats in shelters, which is beyond awesome!❤️ This place is a good local find.”
