“Stewart’s needs more staff on each shift. Lately every store I head over to is dirty (inside and out), trashes are full, no food out, no product, nothing is fresh. I used to blame the workers, thinking they were lazy and didn’t want to work (kids on staff, newer employees) but today I came into this store and sat down for 2-3 hours & had a cup of coffee with an old friend. The workers here were running around & taking customers so quickly, but there were only. 2 workers and the store was packed the entire time. Scooping ice cream & cashing out customers left and right, leaving the store to pile up with filth. They were diligent workers and 5 star employees. Deserve a raise both of them.Customers became angry with the line and the wait but there was nothing these workers could do about it. Really needs better help with staff, Stewart’s should care about adequate staff to ensure higher standards in stores because it seems that standards have gone down significantly in the last decade. I’m 71 years old and I’m very disappointed with how these stores are being managed”

“I love this place! Very politically correct with vegetarian options. U actually know what goes in ur food by customizing food prep as u order.”

“One of my local friends recommended this place. I went for lunch because I heard it was hard to get a reservation for dinner. It is a cozy and intimate Italian restaurant. Honestly some of the best Italian food I've ever had (I'm 100% Italian). The sauce was deep red, not too sweet or acidic. The veal parm was Crispy fried and super tender, melted in my mouth. The prices are surprisingly fair and affordable for a restaurant of this quality. Will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.”

“Excellent little place to have a peaceful, casual and delicious meal. They have a lot to choose from, authentic food and friendly staff. Usually I don't enjoy salsa much but their house salsa was very nice. Loved their guacamole, when you order it as a side it comes in a cheerful, little green tortilla shell bowl that you can eat. It was very cute. Prices are not high like other places and we left full and happy. I will gladly return another time. The food I saw being served to other parties and the menu pictures all looked great. I kind of forgot we were on Central Ave. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a clean, fun, quaint and well loved establishment. I love finding hidden gems. I was having a terrible day and my experience at La Fiesta turned everything around. What a pick-me-up! Thank you La Fiesta!”

“Just had the lunch buffet and, loved it! Beyond satisfied, this place scratched an itch. Only issue is that I wanted some more options, but they already had SO much layer out, given the space.”

“Delicious food cooked right in front of you! Chef was a lot of fun and very skilled. A little too much oil, but otherwise very good. Portions were very generous. Food allergy warning: They do use butter on the noodles, and then cook the veggies and meat after. If you have dairy allergies, make sure to specify so they can cook yours without butter and not cook your vegetables/meat nearby the buttered noodles.”

“This is a very good restaurant. There are two very friendly people at the counter, one to take orders and prepare drinks and the other to operate the register and pull up the correct orders from the cooks. All very efficient. We ordered the fried fish with tartar sauce and onion rings as our option over regular fries. Very tasty. Nice location close to the Albany Airport for a quick meal before a flight!”

“That's some good food! Ground chicken kebab and a regular chicken kebab. Rice, bread, and a dumpling appetizer too. All top notch quality. Fast and friendly service.”

“Great and probably only counter serve Italian food I've seen. They messed up my wife's online order so be sure to check before you leave the store. No big deal, maybe just order in store. Great portions, the small is more than enough for me for a decent on the go Alfredo.”

“The woman serving us was patient with our questions. I forgot the name of the sandwich I had (it came with ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles) with pickle slices on the side. It was really tasty. Just a side note: the pickles start off sweet and then get really spicy after a few seconds of chewing.”

“Although I went very nervously, everything I ate was good. It was fresh and cheap according to the amount. You can eat as much as you want. We mainly ate sushi and fresh vegetables and fruits. There is something suitable for every person. Since we don't eat pork, we didn't taste many things, but overall it was nice. The place was clean.👍”

“I got the Orange Julie Monkey which was absolutely delicious! The sandwich, Ashley’s Artichoke Melt was wonderful too- I usually don’t see artichoke as an option on sandwiches so I went for it!”

“We found this spot on Google and so happened friends recommended their beef chow fun, so we came to check it out. The beef chow fun is good, has strong “wok-hay”! But the dim sums were mid. The shrimp dumpling (har-gow) was not good… the skin was mushy. The chicken feet was bad… way too much pepper and not what we expected. Their HK milk tea was solid! So go for the HK Milktea and Ice Lemon Tea for sure. The service was good without being over bearing; which is awesome. If you’re around Albany, for sure give it a try!”

“Always a fun place to eat. We always get the lettuce wraps to share. Yum. We shared sesame white meat chicken and fried rice. Everything was delicious. Kevin our server was great too.”

“Wish we took more pictures but we ate that food too fast. We just found out about this place but we will be returning often. It's pretty hidden- inside of the Celtic Center on New Karner Road but you'll be happy to find it. The Jamaican food is authentic... especially the rice and peas and sweet plantain- whew *chef's kiss*. Garlic shrimp was tasty the brown stew chicken was so good. My husband had the oxtail and loved it. The owners were so very nice and welcoming.”

“Loads of fun! Our "axe master" was great with instruction, pulled me aside to watch my (lack of) technique when I was having difficulty getting the axe to stick and worked with me to make sure I had the right sized axe and got it down.”

“The hubby and I enjoyed a great Sunday lunch at Build a Burger yesterday. A fun, "dive bar " type atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing (and delicious) Sunday date. We sat at the bar and our waitress (I feel terrible that I have forgotten her name) was so friendly and spunky, singing along to the music, answering our questions, and clearly loving her job. Now, onto the food. First off, we ordered Way Too Much. These portions are not to be taken lightly- they are serious portions for serious eaters. Mozzarella sticks were the only "regular" sized item (5, just about perfect for sharing). The loaded fries (see picture below) needed at least one other couple to help us finish them. So worth it though - gooey melted cheddar and lots of (really good) bacon, served with sour cream. Now, onto the burgers. We each had a sheet to fill out, checking off which toppings we would like to add as well as the temperature of our burger. This is also where you can select another protein (pulled pork or chicken for example). So many options! As soon as they arrived and were placed in front of us, I knew I was in trouble. I had eaten too much of the appetizers! Seriously, though, it was so good! Melted cheese, shredded lettuce, fried onions. The patty is thin - like a smash burger - so next time I would step down to medium from medium well, as it was still just a touch too done for me (totally my mistake though and didn't affect the experience at all). I travel a lot and haven't seen other places offering this unique customizable experience. Oh, and bonus, we paid in cash, so they gave us back $6 in "store cash" to use for food on our next visit. If you haven't been, I suggest you round up at least a few people to help share all off the food and try it out. I think Tuesday nights there might also be some kind of promotional mug night for drinks? Overall, I can't recommend this place enough!”

“It's been hard to find a decent sushi bar with fresh fish, but I must say i was not disappointed. We drove down from watertown, and I'd do it again. (We also had other business down here) but great service and friendly. Highly recommend the rainbow roll and the spider!!!”

“Liyle's hoagies are great for the price. Mostly $12. Better than subway or Jimmy John's”

“I love coming here. The service is always quick and friendly, and the food is amazing. I typically get the 2 protein bowl, and it lasts me two meals. The options for proteins, sauces, toppings, etc. are plentiful, and there is something for everyone here. That being said, I would look at the options before coming here. If there are only 1-4 things you enjoy, the bowl will not be as full, and the price is not as justified. I almost always get white & brown rice with seasoning, salmon and spicy tuna, house soy, edamame, crab mix, seaweed salad, carrot, cucumber, avocado, spicy mayo, eel sauce, nori, masago, and sesame seeds. Any of their canned juices are delicious as well. Definitely consider giving this place a try if a lot of the options appeal to you.”

“I looked up for indian grocery store in Albany & wow it has so many than what I thought. I went to this one and love it!! Won’t change it for any other places. It’s very clean, organized and the lady (I guess she was the owner) was super nice & very helpful. My husband is Turkish and was soo happy to find lot of Turkish items. Love it and can’t wait to visit again.”

“The atmosphere immediately when your walk in the door is positive and welcoming. The servers, host, management and udders were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all the good items served. Our waitress Phoebe was just a breath of fresh air. She was honest and open that she was a new server there and had only been employed a few days but that she was a long standing customer since childhood and recommended the chicken Sinatra as her favorite dish. Highly recommend and we will bring the whole family next time”

“Authentic Korean food! We got generous Korean pickles with rice which I love 💕. The reason I took one star is because the hot pot dish was not so flavorful ( l needed salt and soy sauce to add) and it had very little shredded beef. Also I wish they would offer more small dishes like a soup and salad. But overall it's a good restaurant we're definitely going back.”

“I check out Hu’s House’s menu online and when I saw tripe and intestines and jellyfish I was in! When I see all the “parts” on a Chinese food menu I know they’re not catering to the non-authentic diners. And I’ve been wanting to try jellyfish for a while now. Hu’s specializes in Shanghainese cuisine. But the menu is, honesty, ENORMOUS. Page after page after page. Something for everyone, IMO. You can eat vegetarian or vegan if you prefer. I do have to mention the atmosphere/physical setting because we restaurant folk DO need to make an effort and I felt a distinct “lack of effort” when I entered. To whit: there are 2 fish tanks in the restaurant. One right at the door as you enter and one beside the bar. Both contain just a few inches of dirty water and dangling fishtanks heaters. They’re giving “abandoned.” Also just, basically gross in a dining space. I mean fine, have fish tanks or don’t. And it you’ve gone over to “don’t” you need to empty those babies out and get rid of them. They do not belong inside a restaurant in their current state. The second thing is the bar itself. They’re clearly not using it/sitting it and have the entire surface covered with piles of napkins or paperwork or just “work stuff.” Also not a good look. Again, if you won’t want to seat your bar, then don’t. But clear it off, don’t have piles of random stuff all over the place. Put in the effort to tidy your spot up. I was there mid/late afternoon, so it was quiet with one person handling the front. Unfortunately I had completely lost my voice and do nothing but whisper to communicate. But the ginormous menu also has pictures of every dish. So I was able to point! I have to give my waiter snap for refusing to let me order the spicy Szechuan Fish Stew because he said it was too spicy for my already struggling throat situation. I’m pretty sure he was right. He also felt duty bound to tell me he thought I had ordered “more than enough” food. Again, he was right. But I wasn’t trying to finish everything. Just try everything. And he was down with that. LOL I started with: Cold Cucumber with Garlic - DELICIOUS, fresh, I feel like garlic is particularly important when you’re sick!; Steamed Shrimp Dumplings - served in the stacked, bamboo steaming baskets with delicious dipping sauce, excellent; Steamed Vegetable Buns - REALLY GOOD. I never had anything like this before. Basically a dumpling made with the same dough you’d use for steamed buns. They were filled with spinach and mushrooms. Very good in the dipping sauce; Jellyfish with Soy Sauce - Pro Tip: Jellyfish turns out to be pretty challenging to eat. It’s cut into really, really long strips. Like noodles. Only they’re not as easy to bite into pieces as noodles. So you wind up hanging over your plate with a mouthful of jellyfish strips trying to chew off the part that is hanging out of your mouth. I mean it was pretty good. But that was kind of too much effort for me!; Vegetarian Duck. Yes, Vegetarian Duck. I was like, “I have no idea what that could be. I must have it!” I have no idea why it’s called Duck. But it’s really good. It is baked/cooked Tofu skin layered with a mushroom filling. Think something like lasagne only with extremely thin Tofu instead of pasta sheets and a chopped mushroom filling. I was CHALLENGED by the Jellyfish and the Vegetarian Duck. And the challenge was entirely me trying to get the food into my mouth… Then, after my waiter told me I was NOT up to Szechuan Fish Soup I ordered Singapore Noodles and Vegetarian General Tso’s Chicken. Sinapore Noodles are very thin vermicelli stir fried with onions, peppers, egg, shrimp, chicken and ham and PLENTY of curry. I requested no chicken or ham and so got Singapore Noodles with only shrimp. They were delicious. Plenty of curry. I think next time I might request it a little spicy… The Vegetarian Chicken was actually big chunks of fried tofu tossed in the General Tso’s sauce. DELICIOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Perfect comfort food for someone who doesn’t eat beef, pork or poultry but loves the General Tso’s flavors…”
