“Had a great experience at Hockey Town Pro Shop. I worked with Jason, who made time to speak to me over the phone before coming into the shop. He is extremely knowledgeable in all things hockey and was able to answer all of my questions. When I came into the shop the following day, Jason was very honest and shared what skates he recommended for my 5 year old, being a beginner, just starting out. He was able to fit my son perfectly in a new pair of skates, without him even being with me. He clearly has a passion for hockey and it shows. “Honesty, integrity and all around good guys. The heavy tow driver who responded was professional and knew what he was doing. He loaded our 35' RV and 16' toad and had us off of the narrow highway quickly. Not being from the area, Mick helped us find a place to have our rig serviced. They didn't take advantage of a bad situation, charged us fairly and kept our trailer till we could get it the next morning. I rarely recommend places but I will be singing these guys praises every time we pass through Albany.”

“I love this store. It is not somewhere I would go for everyday shopping, but when I need something special, I know they will have what I need. Just recently I had an occasion to attend and needed the “right” blouse for a special skirt. I walked in with work out clothes and a ball cap, and someone was immediately there to say hi, with no pressure…just to let me know she was there. I did need help! I showed Alex the a picture of the skirt I need a blouse with. She told me she knew they had a few things that looked great with the cute skirt I had. With in 10 minutes, she found the perfect blouse for me, I had paid and was on my way back home. Outstanding customer service in this store as well as amazing clothing. Thank you again Alex!!!”

“Went to Duck Donuts today for the very first time. The employee who assisted me was great! The store was empty when I arrived she so showed me a menu, showed me where I could watch my donuts be freshly made right in front of me, and familiarized me with their other menu options (including coffee's and donut sundaes). I asked what the most popular donut was and she said the Maple Bacon Donut, so that what's I went with. I decided to also try the Midnight Madness Donut. The donuts were made fresh to order, placed in a box, and given to me nice and warm! Needless to say, the Maple Bacon Donut was amazing! 10/10! The sweet maple glaze and with savory salty bacon is a wonderful pairing. The donut itself is more like a cake, especially since it's warm, fluffy, and moist. The Mighnight Madness Donut on the other hand, was not so great. Something about it had a burnt taste. I didn't bother to finish the donut after the first couple of bites. I will definitely be back in the future to try other items on the menu.”

“I bought both my wife's engagement ring, along with both of our wedding bands from NEFJ. For the engagement ring, we worked with Lynn and Hike to make a custom setting. It was perfect and a great experience. They are great about not being pushy but rather taking time with everyone to make sure you will love what you purchase. The maintenance plan makes keeping everything protected and looking like new easy. The entire staff is always very friendly and accommodating when we drop off and pick up. We love our wedding bands and engagement ring and would recommend them to anyone in the market.”

The selection of goods made by makers all over the world is always superb and the ideology of bringing these goods here for consumption and paying the makers a living wage is something I can get behind. We are a slow movement family and buy a lot of items second hand due to environmental concerns, so when we do purchase new items, it is with serious thought and intent surrounding the social and environmental impacts of those items. When I come here, I know that I am supporting small makers from all over the world and our family is proud of that. Recently I purchased socks for a cause and handmade ornaments as presents and they all were well received by the recipients.”
