“Staff is great every year. Water may not be warm every time but it's clean and safe. There's enough room for everyone and depth of water for every age. Hours are 11 to 7 p.m. everyday. Non-residents are welcome with a small fee”

“My family has been coming here for nearly 40+ years, and have camped in a variety of sites. We've camped on the top and bottom. The bottom sites are electric, and half the top sites are electric (no water hookup). The staff mainly keep to themselves but the ones I've encountered have been very kind. There are multiple playgrounds and 3 ponds to fish in. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters, and multiple hiking trails. One of our favorite things to do is go down to the creek, and build rock dams to redirect the water through the large culvert pipes. Quiet time is 11pm which people abide by most of the time. It's hit or miss but the park rangers and sheriff drive through almost nightly. The bathrooms are relatively clean but the shower water pressure is lacking in some buildings. Overall, it's a great place to spend time with family and relax on a camping trip.”

“One of the best places to walk in the whole city. If you stand in the middle of the compass by the sign and talk it sounds like your talking facing a wall despite there being no walls near you. Highly recommend the walk!”

“Dark quiet. Take the doggie for walks sometimes. Squirrel factor substantial.”

“Hunter's Creek County Park is a very nice park. There is a nice creek in a canyon there and options for hiking. The creek mostly has crawfish and minnows in it at this time. The hills in the park and the dirt ground, which can become quite muddy makes this park good for intermediate hikers. If this is your first hike, I would recommend starting at an easier place and working up to Hunter's Creek. If you do go to Hunter's Creek, which I hope you do, be prepared for a beautiful and challenging nature walk.”

“Beautiful and amazing! I took the birding option, it was awesome! The lady was really nice and informative. We were automatically given binoculars. The lady said that it was a birding rest stop during migration so it was great to see more birds. The birding option is so relaxing and makes you appreciate nature. Perfect nature getaway, never miss it!”
