“I feel bad for those traveling East Bound that are stuck at the Indian Castle Service Center which is small and not well kept. Iroquois Service Center is by far a better designed building. Open and spacious to take a minute to stretch, rest, use the restrooms, and stop at the convince store, or get food at Chick-fil-A, Burger King, or Starbucks. This should have been the standard design and size for ALL the "new" service centers.”

“Great little historical park in the Mohawk Valley. The tour going through the house lasts about an hour and is very informational. In the house you will see some artifacts including furniture that belonged to Revolutionary War hero Nicholas Herkimer. The architecture of the house is also well described. The park does a good job describing all parts of Herkimer's life including his role as a frontier farmer, businessman, father, slaveholder, and his death in the Revolutionary War. Make sure to take in the Herkimer monument as well. The shores of the Mohawk River are also near. The Erie Canalway Bike Trail is also near the house and it is worth taking a ride on it. Great place to go!”
