Amazing Doctor who truly cares for and about each kid.
I know Dr. Dave for 33 years now. All 3 of my girls say that he is their favorite pediatrician. He is thorough, and has never missed or been wrong about a diagnosis. All around wonderful person. When my kids were young, I traveled from Staten Island to Brooklyn to see him. He is worth the trip, and the wait.
When it comes to doctors, I am very picky. I am not a Bay Ridge native, I am from Astoria and I was willing to take my daughter all the way to Astoria to see the pediatrician that used to treat me. However, my husband insisted that we go to Dr. Dave for multiple reasons such as 1. He used to treat my husband 2. He is right around the corner 3. He saved my husbands life when he was young.
Dr. Daves bed side manners are above and beyond amazing. He is patient with the babies/toddlers/kids as well as with the parents and their questions. The front end staff and Donna are amazing as well. Friendly, professional, and courteous.
When my little one was a newborn, she had reflux problems with her formula. Dr. Dave guided us into finding the right formula and he suggested drops for gas to ease my daughters pains. Unlike other doctors, he wasn't one to jump on the zantac bandwagon and I LOVED that! I don't mind medication but ONLY if it is necessary and it is the last resort.
When my daughter gets her shots, she literally only cries for a couple of seconds. Donna is amazing with giving the shots. Gentle and fast. All shots are explained to us and what to expect. What steps to take in the event she has a fever, etc.
The facility is clean and the waiting time isn't bad at all. The most I have ever waited was five minutes. There is wi-fi in case you need it and the atmosphere is welcoming.
I highly recommend Dr. Dave and his staff!
We just can't say enough good things about this doctor. My wife calls him all hours of the night, I actually feel sorry for him sometimes!
What a gentleman. Finding a more compassionate and caring doctor, would be a serious challenge.
