beautiful views
For the many years that I have lived in Brooklyn this place is absolutely beautiful. There is also a park their that you can take the kids plus the ferry cab or bus to take you to Manhattan.
This is terrific: the Slide Mountain and Swing Valley playgrounds are wonderful for kids of various ages. The others (sandbox and water themed) looked good, but we didn't get to the former and were too late in the season for the latter. Lovely, lovely landscaping with a variety of flowers among the plants attracting plenty of butterflies. Bathrooms (near the pizza restaurant Fornino) were pretty clean - and it's really nice to have a couple options, in that restaurant and also the ship Pilot docked on the pier, for food and drinks. We'll be back for sure.
This playground is truly amazing! It is a complete treasure and I know will be a staple for our kids in the summer. There are so many things for them to do and everything is free! There is a HUGE sandpit with a small beach house for them to play, a sprinkler park that also includes a creative waterway design for kids to play and engage with. There are plenty of open eating spots if you just want to picnic and lots of different areas with huge slides, swings and see-saws. This place can be a full-day excursion for toddlers and young kids. If you want to relax - time it with one of the ferry rides enjoy yourself out in the open sea for ~$4 per adult.
A really nice and somewhat hidden park with quite a bit of space and lots of divisions to keep areas a bit more secluded. Kept very clean with nice bathrooms and lots of areas for both quiet sitting and for kids to play.
