“My son (and so do I)loves visiting the Brooklyn magic shop! Both Daniel and Diana are extremely friendly and welcoming! Whether it is to attend one of their awesome day camps or to just visit the shop and buy some new trick equipment. Daniel makes sure that he understands how to work on the trick. The camp is wonderful! Every time he comes back home he has lots of new tricks to show me. I highly recommend this lovely little hole in the wall whether you need a safe and fun place for your kids to learn about magic on their day off from school or you or your child want to learn a new trick.”

“A great bakery tucked away in Carroll Gardens. They have a large assortment of cookies and baked goods, they have amazing and beautiful cakes both large and small. We got a selection of cannolis and tarts and cookies and small pastry items and each one was better than the next. Chocolate hazelnut mousse cake and their Napoleon were the highlights for me, but again, it was all tasty. There are many good bakeries in the area and this deserves inclusion in that list.”

“I go to Lara for my brows (groom and tint) and last week I also got a lash lift and tint for the first time. Wow do I love the results. My lashes have a great curl and are super dark and shiny, and they make my eyes POP. I look like I'm wearing mascara -- someone even asked if I had extensions. But I'm not, which means no raccoon eyes and no annoying removal. I'm so happy. Go visit Lara and let her make you happy and gorgeous, too. She's meticulous and talented and a ton of fun to chat with.”

“This diner is just great. Amazing food and nice people. A favorite specially if you like old school New York feeling. Very good quality for a fair price! ”

“Good neighborhood diner in the Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill area. This one seems to be way busier than the others on smith street. On weekends there is usually a wait to get a table, especially since it’s pretty small in there. They have some great soups. They’re gyros are also pretty good too. When I go I usually sit at the counter and I always get excellent service.”

“I love Scotto's—they are friendly and knowledgeable. Classic 'good people' who are happy to discuss wine and spirits. Not fussy or snarky like some of the new places in the neighborhood ... I'll happily spend my dollars here. They also deliver.”

“Great place for a casual date after you finished with lounges. Great selection of games, nice, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Can get fuller since it is so popular so make sure to verify that there will be available tables.”

“Came here for their lard bread and was not disappointed with my choice. It was rich in flavor and had lots of prosciutto.”
