“It was a little difficult for me to find, I should have taken a taxi from New York avenue by church, but I kept walking. I had checked earlier the previous day, it seem to be a walking distance from New York avenue by church but I ended up spending about 30 minutes just to get there. The good news is that I felt so welcomed in Saint Therese, it was just like a big family. The week I went for mass there was my birthday week, they called the people who had anniversaries and birthdays celebrations to the front, sang for us, prayed for us and even gave us gifts! how much beautiful can it get? I was very happy, it was not like it was first time there, they seemed like my family and friends I did not know I had somewhere in the United States. They are really a big happy family, it would be nice to see other parishes welcome and make visitors and strangers feel so at home in their churches. I wish I had taken pictures of the people I met there and the church. Very unlike me to forget to take pictures of a New place, church or people, I guess I forgot because the love I got was just overwhelming. I definitely want to visit Saint Therese of Lisieux again and again whenever I am in New York city. I will make sure I am there before the 9:00 am mass, take as many pictures as I can, greet as many of the members as I can too. And hopefully I will try to update this review with pictures of the church monument and of me in it.”

“My late Mother was a member of St. Augustine's for many years after coming to this country from St.Vincent in 1981. While I lived in NY, I was able to attend and worship with her. She saw a lot of changes over her years there. I was totally pleased with the compassion shown to my entire family in recent months after her passing. The way the services were conducted , one could not ask for anything better. Father Womack and Father Diele were very compassionate, understanding and conducted such a touching and comforting sermon. Father Diele did the grave side commitment . My mother had a true Anglican service and I know her spirit was pleased. My family and I had the opportunity to worship 40 days after her passing, and the welcome was overwhelming, the comfort and love was felt. My mother always sang their praises and I see why. Prior to her passing both Father Womack and Father Diele, had a chance to visit and pray with my mom while in the hospital, and that meant the world to her and to me it meant a lot. She was comforted and I could see the lift in her spirits. Ms. Joan has been very instrumental in offering her assistance while preparing for her services. Her assistance was most appreciated by all. The St. Augustine's family showed love without measure to us all. I /we are eternally grateful. May you all continue to flourish abundantly.”
