Makeville Studio

What a high-quality woodworking studio. I arrived with almost no experience, took several private lessons to get certified on the machines, and emerged a few weeks later with a certification, confidence in myself, and a new skill that gives me so much joy. I’ve now built a beautiful cutting board on my own, and am now planning my next projects.

The machines are well maintained. The staff are friendly and place a high emphasis on safety. They provide all types of group classes which seem to be very popular. You can buy all types of lumber here, and they provide ear and eye protection. This is a great shop to learn woodworking, hone your skills, build a dream project of your own, and have fun. Highly recommend.

I had a great time and learned a lot while taking the woodshop basics class and making a serving board. The shop is very nice and the people are great.

I had a great experience working at Makeville Studio. It's great to be able to book time in a fully equipped space and have access to everything you need for your woodworking projects. What's really fantastic though is being able to book time with members of the studio team if you need a refresher on equipment or processes, or to tackle new / unfamiliar terrain in the studio.

This wood shop is a super nice place to come to do what you wish you could do at home. You have all the space you need and all the tools you’d want - powered and manual - to get your projects done. Big fan.
First you get “certified” as a member by going through process, how-to, and safety protocols on all the power equipment. It’s around $100, and then you’re good to go - book blocks of hours and get a station to yourself (workbench) and do your stuff.
Storage is extra monthly cost, and limited of course.
Jointer, planer, table saws, bandsaws, miter saw, lathes, routers with or without table, belt and circular and spindle/drum sanders, drill press, etc etc.

Great place! Close to a bus stop also :)

Took private classes there with Noah and also a weekend beginner class.

Studio is clean, well lit, organized, and the machines are constantly checked/maintained to ensure safety. The owner Robyn is very nice and helpful. Noah is a great teacher and a great woodworker.
