Dr. Rapello performed my hysterectomy in 1996 after I received High readings on CA125 test three times in a row. I was only 42, but I had lost my mother to ovarian cancer a few years before and we 4 sisters had all agreed to take this test. Dr Rapaello said that he thought it would be wise to go ahead and remove this risk. I also had a major problem with bladder leakage after having for children. He planned to repair that at the same time as my hysterectomy. He explained that it would make my recovery longer, but would be well worth it. He told me that my bladder repair would probably only last about 5 years. I am here to sing the praises of Dr. Rapello. The surgery went well, my recovery did take a full 6 weeks, but I firmly feel that my life was saved by removing my ovaries and preventing ovarian cancer. And the bonus that I got was a repaired severe bladder leakage problem which has lasted for 24 years and counting. I am the only person my age that I know who doesn't have bladder leakage, and that is all due to his expertise. This is the only surgery that I have ever had in my life, and if you are thinking about surgery with Dr Rapello it was certainly a good choice for me.
