The kids get much needed physical exercise and they work on helping kids develop not only new skills in Taekwondo, but social and emotional regulation. They are gaining valuable experiences in concentration, focus and persistence. To sum it up, they are learning resilience which is an invaluable lifelong skill. All the instructors are wonderful leaders, firm in expectations while kind and encouraging. I can see they encourage growth mindset by encouraging practice and the process versus simply an end goal. Kwon’s wellness also builds community. They have occasional events that allow the kids to interact and make friends in a safe environment. We are so glad our kids can go to Kwon’s wellness they look forward to it each time they go to the studio!”
