I had a wonderful positive experience at the Goethe Institute New York. It's a bright and modern space in a convenient location. Everyone there is friendly and professional.
I recently visited their library to prepare for an upcoming German exam. Their entire staff was very helpful. They even provided me with some free materials to study for my exam! The library is full of useful materials for learners of German as a second langauge. If you are in NYC and learning German, I highly recommend that you visit here!
Nice little niche to work and study.
The Goethe Institute is a truly magnetic place where one can learn German, German literature, and German contemporary culture in general. Tucked away on Irving Place near Union Square, it offers a spacious library on the ground floor, and airy classrooms on the 4th floor. It’s best to join as a student or member in some form. I love this Institute. It is a haven for anyone interested in the European intellectual life and life style.
