Pleasant addition to the neighborhood. We stopped in for a late-ish bite, outdoor table in backyard was pleasant but a few mosquitoes. The fried chicken appetizer was ok, not really anything Burmese that I could detect but we enjoyed it. The onion fritters were kind of greasy and heavy but came with a tasty dipping sauce. We both had noodles. The lemongrass fish noodles and the garlic noodles with pork meatballs. Both were tasty and filling but somehow I was hoping for something more interesting.
The pricing was a bit confusing, the dine in price is higher than delivery price but it seems that they gave us a small discount for eating in? So the prices are higher if you eat there but not as high as the menu says. I’m not sure I understand the concept but ok.
One of the few Burmese restaurants in the city. We sat downstairs in a private boothed area, the location caused us to be a bit neglected by wait staff. Tea salad came out giving a crunchy start with so many interesting ingredients mixed together. Fried paratha was a stand out item on the menu. Rice and curry dishes offers unique herbs and flavors of the country. A bit expensive, but overall good experience.
Great staff who are so attentive and accommodating. The food is nicely presented, tastes great with interesting little additions and accoutrements. The first two dishes under noodles and curries are the ones with the more favorite flavor profile. We had the disco fries, tea leaf salad, vegetable curry, and Mohinga. All were tasty and the mohinga reminded me of the more flavorful ones I have had before.
Small place but great flavors! I’m not usually a salad person but this was amazing. It was bursting with flavor and had a nice bit of citrus to it. I also really enjoyed the coconut chicken curry noodles. It was a big dish and the soup was thick and delicious. Also perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs
