“I went up there in mid-January. The beginning of the trail was pretty icy therefore I was very cautious. If you are lucky you might be able to pick up a map for the surrounding mountains at the trailhead. The trail markers can be seen easily. I used the New York-New Jersey Trail conference's West Hudson Trails map. I took a walk on the Golden Ridge and then down to the Sutherland Pond. It was very nice. I enjoyed to hike on the trails a lot.”

“My new favorite dog park, right I Goshen! Turn in where the Masonic picnic area is and keep going to the old school. Fence is at least 5 ft, great gates, grassy hills for dogs to run about, trick jump, tunnel, platform, benches and picnic tables. Bring your own bags and water/water dishes. A few trees for shade, ample parking. It's secluded and lovely here to relax or run about with my dog. He sure loves it :)”

“Great views at the top. Very steep initially so it was a good workout too. Path was pretty well marked but still would look at a guide beforehand. Spent about 2hours to complete but there are lots of areas to rest and take in the scenery”

“A little biased because this was my Eagle project, but I love this park. I make sure to visit every year when I'm home. Great place for sledding, kite flying, and picnics!”

“Amazing place! Where do I start? First - location. Schunemunk is the most prominent hill in the area - means the views are countless: Central Valley, Hudson, Moodna Viaduct, surrounding hills. All you need is a good weather. Being in a good shape doesn't hurt as well - climb to Schunemunk is pretty strenuous (and descent is not much easier, especially via Long Path). There are so many hiking opportunities - it may take a couple days to cover everything.”
