Overall this is a much better place to live than Queensbridge public housing

Ravenswood apartments are good size compare to Queensbridge apartments.

At Ravenswood cleanness depends on the maintenance personnel and residents. For example, I was transfer to a smaller apartment in a different building. The person who cleans in my new building is ratchet, she yells and talks loud on her phone; only cleans building once a month, but takes garbage out almost daily. The Elevator and stair hall is disgusting, dirty.

The residents in my new building are dirty and ratchet.There’s constant people coming in and out that you don’t know who lives in the building. Entrance and exit doors are always open. Dog/human feces inside building and outside. Children/adults smoking and playing in the hallways ...children are outside 24/7... there’s a basketball court and playground area where kids stay out all day long even in the winter and rain. There’s dogs barking and howling all day long. the housing assistant in my new building is NOT doing her job, this building is out of control. I complain to her, she don’t care, she said “not her problem”.

My old building was total opposite of my new building. It was clean, maintenance personnel cleaned everyday and took garbage out everyday.. residents are clean and WORKING class individuals. NO ONE was never outside. People curb their dogs. Housing assistant for my old building did not play

Overall, Ravenswood is not a bad place due to management and apartments. I have no roaches or mice problems... I covered every single cracks, holes throughout my apartment to prevent roach infestation. Rooms are good size have their own closets.. kitchen, living room are good size. There’s dinning area for a table. Windows are big lots of sunshine. If you work or go to school, you’ll be fine.

I live here. Everything is amazing except the staircases.
