“Really great restaurant. The food is fresh and the portions are large and the staff is attentive and friendly. They have all the things that make a great meal for me and the most important one being plantains and they do not skimp on the portion. They also offer a wide variety of Colombian drinks and desserts. The atmosphere makes you feel as if you stopped by a friend's home for a good meal. Definitely will be going more often.”

“Found this place during layovers at JFK on way to/from Germany. Twice had a couple pints of Guinness at the bar. Good service. The 1st time had fish & chips, thick tender whitefish, strongly reccomend. On way back had skillet chip, very good if not on diet. Luis poured my Guinness and shaped clover in the foam. Good service”

“The rudest people ever! The cashier was nice but very slow like she was on some type of pill. It was very unsettling. To get the point of this my friend and I ordered pizza which cost 5.99 for two different pizzas. I got the Bronx and my friend got the buffalo! Let me say this again they were the same price! We get the pizzas and mine is way smaller than the buffalo so I was like confused wondering why they aren’t the same size for the same price! I go up to the counter and tell them my concerns. One of the ladies who was making the pizza said they’re all the same size telling me to go back and look at this pizzas. I go back and look at them the way they were cut and they were just as big as my friends pizza. I showed the manager some short Asian woman to see the comparison to mine and my friends and she got upset with me cause I put parm on the slice so she couldn’t take it back REGARDLESS you can’t take food back in the kitchen! I would know I used to work in the food industry. I was telling her this isn’t fair game so she got fed up and gave a new BIGGER slice as she should have just from seeing the comparison in the first place! Everyone was just very unprofessional didn’t care about the customers! Never going back and I’m pretty sure they don’t care! They need new management 0/5 stars!”

“Stepping back in time... a good thing. Silver Gull is one of a disappearing breed of beach clubs. Going decades back, before A/C was common this is how families from Brooklyn and Queens kept cool. It is not the most up-to-date facility, but that is part of its charm. The pools are huge and clean, and there is plenty of place to setup your lounge chair... or better yet rent a cabana and have a home away form home. I agree with other reviewers that they could do so much more with the food service. Bring in some food trucks or other vendors. They do not even sell sunscreen or beach sundries.... a wasted opportunity. If you are looking for beach vacation you can have every weekend, join the Silver Gull”

“Food is good and the price in perfect. They never skimp on the meat and pack the container until they have to smash it closed. That's two meals for six bucks. On top of that you get a free drink (can of soda or water). Want pita bread on top? Free. Just ask. Sauces are all good and I love the white/red/green combo. Also wanted to add: the foot traffic at this cart is high, even late nights, so the food is always fresh. I eat here at least once a week.”

“Atomic Wings is without a doubt my favorite place to grab wings when I'm in New York. Because I'm rarely in NYC (evidently there are other locations, but I only eat them when I'm in Queens), I always make it a habit of going here. I generally get two orders of hot and garlic parmesan. In general the wings run a little hotter than standard, so maybe order down a spice level if you're sensitive. The staff at the queens location is incredibly friendly, so I can't really speak to the other locations. This is a great place to take a large group of people because they have the bucket option which has 50 wings, which is more than enough for a group of 5-6 people.”
