  A & J Police Equipment is possibly the only true police shop actually family owned. There was one other police shop 2 miles down the road from A & J and barely half a block from a very busy NYPD precinct. They are no longer in business. When they were in business they claimed to be family owned but their inactions spoke louder than words. The service was shoddy and whenever you called them on the phone to check if they had a certain item-the answer would be yes. But when you got there-they would say they had just run out of it.
  
  However A & J Police Equipment functions as a family unit and they treat the officers as family and they really go the extra mile.
  
  THIS IS WHY A & J is still in business without the need to be near a police precinct. HOW FUNNY IS THIS: you are located so close to a very busy police precinct and your shop was almost always empty. ANSWER: bad attitude and sloppy inventory and service.
  
  If you are a member of the service go in and say hello-look around. A & J is a cool place.

  I went to Oder a badge for my husband and myself they were wonderful and helpful so nice. Would go back for anything I would need.

  Friendly staff and attentive to all needs. Thus is my go to store for all my ems needs.

  Just left the place getting my academy uniform and items. To anyone else looking over reviews of different places trying to figure out where to go, go here. Flat out. The people there were great and made the whole process easy and fast and the package pricing was great. If I could given them more stars I would.
