Codella Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy

Took my first adult white belt BBJ class last night and it was awesome! The facility was super clean and very spacious, the group of guys were all friendly and eager to teach/learn. Mike Codella the owner showed me around and made me feel like a part of the family. Their schedule is great with a variety of classes to take. Excited to begin my training. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone from beginner to advanced.

Codella Academy is a friendly and respectful environment for all ages and skill levels. Rita and Mike take a personal interest in each of their students and have even gone out of their way to help one of my children on a personal matter when they were in need. My children look forward to each class, whether for jiu jitsu or kickboxing training. We are grateful for the amazing coaching staff that challenge students to train hard while focusing on safety, respect, technique, and confidence building. The coaching staff each take their time to work on form and technique with each student and teach them using real life scenarios that they may face in the real world, such as in school, and not just on the mat. There are always enough coaches on the floor so that each student is looked after and taught safely and correctly. We couldn’t have any higher appreciation and respect for the Codella Academy family and are grateful to be a part of it. This comes with the highest of recommendations to all!

My son started five years ago in the kids class and now he rolls with the teens. It has been a great experience. I am amazed to see his growth in BJJ and as a person. The coaches provide a nice balance of firm structure and personal attention. This is a tough sport, but the gym is very supportive. My only regret is that I wish we had started sooner at Codella.

He has the pleasure of training at this fantastic academy, and I can't say enough good things about it. The instructors, who are also part of a great family, truly excel in working with young students. They not only teach jujitsu skills but also instill values of respect and leadership. I’ve trained at a bunch of different gyms and disciplines before I finally found my home at Codella academy. The thing that stood out to me was how helpful and friendly everyone was when I first started training. From the white belts up to the black belts everyone would take out time to give a few helpful tips after training. Mike Codellas instruction is second to none and it’s an honor to learn from such a high level Renzo Gracie black belt. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn Brazilian jujitsu whether for self defense, a great workout, or competition. I’ve been training there for over 10 years now and my son is also in the kids program. We both love it!
