“I have been a student for nearly three years. I started with chair yoga and now I am enjoying restorative, with a goal of gentle yoga on the horizon. This morning after restorative class, I went for a bone density test and a circulation test. The PA reading the bone density was amazed at the amount of improvement from a couple of years ago, and said my osteoarthritis greatly improved as well. I have a bone on bone knee and was told I needed a replacement. I responded by researching chair yoga on Staten Island, where I found Melody Harden-Sandhu. Best decision I ever made. I passed the circulation test and my bp was 110/80. I had not even taken my bp pill yet. Yoga works, almost like magic. I go 2-3 times per week. It is really changing things around for me. ❤️”

“Petrides staff is very helpful and most teachers are very involved and encourage students to do their best. A range of AP classes are offered and honors classes are available. School events are really fun and interactive for everyone. Petrides is big on Not Bullying and Equality which is something I really like You can start clubs and groups if you want And there is a wide range of electives to choose from Many trips are offered for all grades that are great especially the recent trip to rocking horse ranch I really like the school, I highly recommend it for everyone And for new comers, there's always friends to make and teachers to get to know and your years will be great at this school :)”
