“I am the most difficult person to please and after many hours of searching/visiting many boutiques all around Staten Island I was basically ready to give up on the Christening Dress Search until I visited the Born Yesterday Boutique by Elizabeth, 5 days before the party... Elizabeth and her staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and a pleasure to be around. They made us feel comfortable and made dreams come true. Elizabeth understood my taste right away and from there on designing the dress was a breeze. She knew exactly what I wanted in a dress. I felt super comfortable with her and knew that she would do an amazing job designing a perfect dress, which she did. What impressed me the most was her ambition, interest and passion. In addition to this, the turn around time was super quick and the dress was ready within 3 days.. Lastly, Elizabeth ran into the city on a Tuesday afternoon just so she can purchase more fabric that was needed to complete my daughters dress.. All in all, if you are a super picky/particular person then you need look no further. Just visit Elizabeth. She is a very talented designer. I am very happy with my daughters Christening Dress and we can't wait to return!!! Please ignore all the negative reviews. Elizabeth is a doll... Trust me...”

“I called Atlantic Vents Cleaning based on all the wonderful reviews I read. I spoke with someone on Monday for an appointment ASAP. He was very helpful and had the service men out the following Wednesday. I need major cleaning to my supply vents, furnace cleaning, sanitation treatment, and UV light air cleaner installed since my husband and I are expecting our first child in the next week or so. They did all the duct work in about 2 hours going above and beyond to show me how everything works. They truly lived up to their reviews.”

“Everything is always fresh! Their food is delicious! The Italian food made here like vodka sauce, prosciutto bread, broccoli bread, ravioli, sandwiches, well EVERYTHING is always delicious and homemade. Their meat is always fresh and the prices are very reasonable. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and the prices are very reasonable as well! They sell excellent quality Italian ingredients and food. The girls on the registers are always polite, and the other staff is accommodating, and extremely helpful! One time I bought a container of champagne grapes and when I got home I noticed that the bottom had a little bit of white mold. It wasn't a lot, but I called and told them. They apologized and told me that they would like to make it right. I usually go to the Arthur Kill location by my mom's house, but being that I went to the family fruit on Hylan blvd., I told them that I was in Rossville and it would take me some time to get there, and they told me that if it was easier for me I could go to the Arthur Kill location to return them or return them to either location the next day. I went to the Arthur Kill location the same day and as soon as I showed them the grapes (which only had a little bit of mold), they apologized and told me that they are committed to providing their customers with fresh fruit and vegetables and assured me that they would try their best not to let it happen again. Then the guy went and got me a new container of grapes and opened them and inspected them and asked me to try them to ensure they met my expectations taste wise. They were delicious! It is very comforting to know that they care about what they are selling and that they care about my experience when shopping there.”

“A & J Police Equipment is possibly the only true police shop actually family owned. There was one other police shop 2 miles down the road from A & J and barely half a block from a very busy NYPD precinct. They are no longer in business. When they were in business they claimed to be family owned but their inactions spoke louder than words. The service was shoddy and whenever you called them on the phone to check if they had a certain item-the answer would be yes. But when you got there-they would say they had just run out of it. However A & J Police Equipment functions as a family unit and they treat the officers as family and they really go the extra mile. THIS IS WHY A & J is still in business without the need to be near a police precinct. HOW FUNNY IS THIS: you are located so close to a very busy police precinct and your shop was almost always empty. ANSWER: bad attitude and sloppy inventory and service. If you are a member of the service go in and say hello-look around. A & J is a cool place.”
