“It was our first time camping here and we absolutely loved the atmosphere of the campground. Very well kept sites and you have a lot of space which is especially great when you have a dog! Very quiet and peaceful. The only hang ups that I had were the bathrooms/ showers. If clean and updated bathrooms/showers are important to you, then these may not be it. The bathrooms are fairly updated, nice sink area, pretty large and nice tile throughout. The stalls are a bit tiny- but that’s not the main problem. Unfortunately the bathrooms closest to our campsite were located in a spot where there were a lot of tenting sites and cabins. The bathrooms were pretty gross on the first day, and second not as bad. The toilets itself were clean but there was toilet paper all over the floors and just not well kept, which may not be the campgrounds fault- but unfortunately still pretty unpleasant. However, the showers are completely unacceptable. They are very old and the shower curtains look like they haven’t been cleaned/ updater in years. We did find black mold in one of the showers on the shower curtain and the floor. A total turn off- we did shower in our camper, there was no way I would set foot in one of those shower stalls. The only recommendations I’d have for the campground would be to update the showers for sure, and maybe clean the bathrooms twice a day instead of one when it is busy, and maybe just update some of the main area with the basketball courts and playground are. Overall a wonderful stay, and we will be back!”

“Overall an amazing place to stay! Super friendly staff that were always accommodating. We stayed in a cabin and it was GORGEOUS! Upon arrival we could not find the hot plate for cooking. We went to the office and within a half hour one was brought to us! That night, my husband went to the store for firewood and staff brought us a fire pit along with dropping off the wood he purchased so that he didn’t have to carry it back on the walk. Everything was clean, the park, the pool, the bathrooms, and especially the rented cabin. We will without a doubt be staying here again!”

“Barrier Free Elevator has given me good service on my elevator for several years now. They have to travel a long way and since this is a vacation home, it requires coordination between their schedule and ours. We have not had any problems working out this annual inspection.”

“What a perfect venue and location! Garnet Hill recently hosted our weekend wedding and it could not have been more magical. The views are stunning, the activities fun and accessible, the rooms super comfortable, and the food truly delicious. But mostly this review is about the people. Nicole organized our planning chaos and many questions graciously and calmly. Patrick was the ultimate hike guide and regional expert. Jeff and the maintenance/grounds team were somehow always around when you needed them and incredibly helpful. Lucy and the dining room staff were awesome and put us all at ease. Paula and Ana and the rest of the reception team helped solve all sorts of small on-the-ground confusions. The whole team was great to work with and quick with a smile. We cannot recommend Garnet Hill Lodge enough and we cannot wait to make it part of our annual vacation plan. Honestly, this was a much longer and more glowing review, but my husband made me adjust it so it didn't sound like we were paid to write it :)”

“10/10 would recommend Afsco. I inquired about a 4’ black chain link fence (~300 linear feet’) for my dog. Turn around time for install was less than 2 weeks. Project was finished in a day. Noticed a few things that were off and not to my liking. I contacted Kyle and he sent a crew out in a day to fix the issues. Great customer service, communication, and quality work. I received many quotes from various companies around the capital region. The company has very competitive pricing and came back with a very fair price. Quality of install and materials was well worth the price.”

“I recently decided to have my 1992 Progression re-powered with a new Mercury 250R four stroke outboard. I'm very particular about my boat and who works on it. I also drive the boat pretty hard, so I needed somebody who knew high performance boating and rigging. Performance Marine was my first choice. Jason And Johnny Saris were absolutely awesome in helping me decide which motor best fit my needs and budget. They provided valuable insight and advice on the re-rigging of the boat to make sure it would be both fast, safe and comfortable to drive. They also kept me incredibly well informed every step of the way as they transformed my boat. The end result was beyond my (already high) expectations. I would recommend Performance Marine to anybody looking for true high performance work that you can trust.”

“We stayed at this resort twice over a 10 day period. The first stay was excellent. We had a lakeside room for 2 nights and it was perfect. Plenty of space, and possibly the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Everything from the shower curtain to the carpet (the usual places to find ick) was spotless. Beds super comfortable and sheets are awesome. Lovely soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in dispensers on to the shower wall. One thing to note is the bathtub is dangerously slippery. Mats would be helpful, before someone gets hurt. Beach and pool area are both beautiful and clean with plentiful loungers. The beach is raked each morning by staff who are cheerful and clearly take pride in their jobs. Every staff member I spoke to was friendly. Several smokers at the beach, leaving their butts for the staff to clean up. This is why we can't have nice things. I'd rate it 5 stars in every category, except . . . Second trip was just for one night and we chose a poolside room. It's smaller, has a sunken spot in the floor. It was okay, just not as nice as the lakeside room all around. Would not choose this room again. It was clean but the weird (and disturbing) thing was we found cookie or cracker crumbs in one of the beds. Weird because the sheets certainly seemed clean and the sheets were fresh so the only thing we could think of was maybe a maid was eating while making the bed? Makes no sense, but it was very late and we were super tired so we let it go. The bathtub had been treated with that abrasive coating, so no one will break their neck taking a shower. We loved the first stay so much that we were planning a return trip at some point this summer. After the second stay though, not really sure.”

“I did the Islands of the Narrows Cruise this past Memorial Day weekend on the Mohican, and I absolutely loved it. Not only was the Captain very knowledgeable about the history of Lake George, but it was a bonus that he added some good humor to his stories. The lake and mountains are positively breathtaking. The cruise was reasonably priced at only $37 for 2-1/2 hours, and we covered 14 miles out of the 32 miles of Lake George. The ship is clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly. Overall, it is truly a great way to spend your afternoon on a beautiful sunny day. Just make sure if you sit outside to wear plenty of sunblock. After the cruise, they have a really great gift shop to definitely check out.”

“To be honest, the food was fantastic. We had Fried Squid, crab Rangoon and Spring rolls which all came with sweet and sour sauce. The paid Thai was 10/10 and the drunken noodles was 9/10. Took the green curry to go. The restaurant had a lot of seating space but could use interior decoration to match quality of food. Lamp above us had a lot of dead flys in it. However the food, I would definitely come back for”

“I went this past weekend for a bachelorette party and had the most fantastic time ever! The price may see intimidating but is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. The food was fantastic every meal! The staff is incredibly friendly. There are so many activities to choose from. Our favorite handler was Amber! Shes very friendly, personable, and extremely good at her job! She was so professional I was stunned to learn how young she is! We requested her for our trail rides and was not disappointed. Ask for Amber and you will have a blast! “A hidden gem. A two-way road leads you to a small shack, about a 5 minute walk to the actual dock, or if available, they have a golf cart shuttle. We rented a pontoon boat, first time operating one. Actually less "bouncy" then a regular boat and a lot more room to lounge and tan.. Don't forget to rent a tube, especially if kids on board. Restrooms are available. Very pleasant knowledgeable lady at the front shack, very nice staff. Nice pontoon boat. Rates are similar to others.”
