“Fun show to check out! We decided on the BBQ and rodeo deal so we went early to eat, then went over to the grandstands after. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The meal reminded me of a big family reunion. You eat in a pavilion and there is room for the kids to run around ECT. Over to the main event the bleachers are all covered so it wasn't too hot, a great choice by the owner for sure. There are your normal concession stands with candy, popcorn, pretzels, fries, fried dough, chicken fingers, ect (looks like they made the hot food to order so it was fresh)! Those were all cash only so bring your $ there is also an ATM inside the bar across the parking lot. You can see everything from the top where the good is so you won't miss anything going up. They also had a small gift shop and I would say the prices were not too outrageous, fun things for kids too! Bathrooms- there are regular flush toilets off of the bar area then port-a-potties up near the grandstands. Not a far walk at all if you prefer inside bathrooms. The bar was nice as well, we went for the matinee so I imagine it would get more use other nights. Overall a nice outing with the family, won't break the bank and it's something different. Check it out if you are looking for something fun to do. Great job Painted Pony it was a nice experience for all :)”

“My husband and I had a really great time with tubby tubes on Sunday afternoon. It was my first time tubing, and the guides made it extremely enjoyable. “Definitely the best white water rafting experience we’ve had. This place absolutely deserves your attention. We had a party of 10 between 2 rafts and they made it such an awesome experience by keep the whole group together. This is a small time shop with a lot of love and it’s noticed from the very beginning. Their base camp is a cozy shack with chill music playing and just is the best place to just rest and relax. During the rafting we were served homemade turkey wraps and fruits and cookies! After the rafting experience we were allowed to relax at their base camp and enjoy ice cold beverages and it really just felt like a family gathering. It was amazing! The guides, Lori and Linc are phenomenal, knowledgeable and best of all, extremely welcoming and kind. They have a special ability to make you feel very safe on the rapids and will always crack a joke at every turn. Overall, this is probably the go to rafting company in the area as they are truly one of a kind”

“We took the Horicon for a 1 hour sunset cruise on Lake George and it was delightful. Inexpensive and enough room on the boat to be comfortable. Not a huge boat, but big enough; one upper deck and an inside seating area enclosed but with windows on the main deck. Also another outside area to stand on the main level. One free drink included, no food. Definitely worth the money for a quick ride.”

“The staff at front desk was friendly when checking in we got there early,she was able to let us in early our rooms were ready. There were 5 in our party .We had 2 rooms pool side,which were great. Nice and clean, house keepers were very friendly themselves and would get us things we were out of We were there 4 night. The staff at the bar were awesome people friendly and need to mention their names Lori and ray on Tuesday and Thursday They made our stay the best as well as drinks. She took us through each step nice and slow as we carefully built our glass bowls. There are several objects to make with a great selection of vibrant colors. You are also welcome to visit and watch the artists in action as well as buy their work from candy canes to paperweights to beautifully blown and sculpted bowls and vases. “This was AWESOME. It was rainy and cold the morning we were scheduled to go, and we were all hesitant about doing this in the conditions, to say the least. We bulled through and went, and were so glad. They had wet suit jackets and over jackets, and surprisingly enough, the river was warmer than the air. The rapids were so fun and just the right level of difficult to make it a “wild” experience for people like us who are not athletic, nor have experience. Our tour guide, Izzy, was hysterical and knowledgeable. It was such a fun time, and I 100% encourage people to do this!”

“Okay first of all, mini golf is pretty popular pastime in the Lake George area. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this location has TWO courses! That’s 36 holes total! I believe the prices were $10 per person for one course or $16 to do both. The courses were very clean and had a lot of greenery and shade on the property. The pirates theme is fun and some rounds take place in a cave. Both courses can be completed in about 1.5 hours, but definitely come during a less popular time if you don’t want to be stuck waiting for groups in front of you. My family has been coming Lake George for so many years that I’m surprised that we’ve never been to this location before! I’ll definitely return with my friends.”

“This is an average motel with a great location and above average outdoor amenities. The pool, kiddie pool, beach area, playground, basketball court, lake, and outdoor Cafe are convenient and very nice. If you have kids, they're going to love swimming and hanging out here. There is a small, roped-off area for swimming in the lake, as well as an activity area where you can rent paddle boats, pale boards, or kayaks by the hour. The negative here is that while there are lots of lounge chairs at the beach and pool, there unfortunately aren't enough. People will routinely take towels to 'claim' chairs early in the morning, only never to actually use them. Case in point, a group of people next to us at the pool claimed 4 chairs and never showed up until after 3pm to use them. I recommend simply removing towels and using the chairs. The room we stayed in was average. It had a queen and full sized bed, small fridge, TV, and air conditioner. The bathroom was at a noticeable slant. The air conditioner required you to stand on a chair to operate it, and only worked in 'automatic' mode. The walls and windows are thin, so you will hear all your neighbors. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The drive to 'town' is less than a minute. Overall, I would stay here again.”

“The Hyde Collection is a lovely institution with a great story/history. It’s a nice museum for a shorter visit, but still well worth it. The Hyde home itself is part of the art, as well as its permanent art collection and antique furniture pieces. The attached galleries had quilt folk art and modern art visiting collections that were also enjoyable. The guest greeter in the lobby was a delightful first encounter. My friend and I were visiting from metro Boston and had a wonderful time today.”

“This is my second time out with Joe and he is truly an outstanding guide. He offers a wealth of knowledge and really knows how to fish Lake George which requires serious skill and ample time on the water. His boat is top of the line and is outfitted with cutting edge equipment necessary to tackle the expansiveness of Lake George. This time around, I went with my good friend who just started seriously bass fishing at the beginning of this year and Joe was able to put us on quality summer fish using a variety of finesse techniques (drop shot, hair jig, ned rig). This is where Joe really shines. I love focusing on finesse fishing with him because he is so dialed in and the results speak for themselves. We caught beautiful largemouth and smallmouth bass on one of the hottest days of the year which is no easy feat. I absolutely loved targeting deep water fish! I always learn something from Joe and apply the knowledge to my own fishing arsenal. As always, the trip went by lightning fast because it was so enthralling. We can't wait to get back out there with Joe next year... hopefully for multiple sessions! Book asap and get ready for a fantastic day out on the water: Joe is the man!”

He also took the time to explain how far apart appointments would need to be and the process he was using. Con: communication from the office could improve. I originally had an 8am-12pm window; at 11:30 I called to ask for an ETA and was told my appointment was moved to an afternoon window and no one had called me, which was frustrating because I had already been waiting all morning.”
