“I've lived here for 2 years now. It's definitely not solely 55 and up. There are children on my block. However, for the most part, it's quiet. I do hear Lancaster speedway loud and clear. I also hear all the football scores from the high school games. I'm more towards the farthest street away from the school. There are a few new mobile homes on my street from 2020 when I moved in. A new home went in last week on my street, it's still progress. Today is 7-26-22.”

“Great skiing, beautiful and varied trails. Better trails and layout than hunter in my opinion. However, lift service can improve, several lifts are a bit slow and break down. This leads to long lines at the bottom... With better lift service this mountain would be perfect.”

“Considering that we just needed one night on our way to final destination, we were not looking for or expecting 5 star accommodations, the stay was very good value. Would definitely stay again. Bedding, linens, towels were all newer. Room décor and fixtures were older but very clean and worked well. Staff were very nice to deal with. Quiet location, great night's sleep.”

“We had a wonderful stay in one of the cabins. It's was cozy and had a rustic feel with all the modern amenities. Everything you would need for a comfortable experience is there! We loved being able to use the kayaks and paddleboats and spending the day by the lake. Dave and Cherie were amazing hosts and super accommodating. We absolutely cannot wait to come back! “The motel is cozy. I found the room to be clean. It was important to me that the property was quiet. Flat screen televisions with decent channel options. It seems the place is run by one small family and they do a great job of keeping it up. I was very happy to see the same face every time I had a question or a concern. That let me know that the family who owns it is very involved and doesn't just run the place from an uncomfortable distance. They actually live in a house that is on the motel property! It seems like you just don't get that kind of care and full investment in this country anymore. I plan to return often!”

“This place is amazing! The cottages and bathhouse are IMMACULATELY clean and decorated adorably. Every cottage has it's own private full bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bedding and towels were brand new and smelled like they had just come out of the dryer! Everything was ready and waiting for us upon arrival. Ashley and Eric are beyond accommodating and kind. They are very easy to talk to and be with. They have thought of everything to make their guests' vacation enjoyable...even down to a basket full of supplies in the bathhouse (including a clothes steamer!). Ashley and Eric are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! They provided so much food that we skipped lunch both days. Their property is beautiful and the bonfires at night were fantastic. My family created wonderful memories at A&E BnB that will last a lifetime. Thank you Ashley and Eric for an amazing weekend!”

“This was a great spot for a weekend getaway. In November, it was very quiet - we did not see anyone else here at all. Very convenient to Phoenicia for all your dining/provisions, and only 20 minutes away from Slide, Wittenberg, Cornell, and Giant Ledge/Panther Mountain. The cabin had a lot more kitchen equipment than I expected, so you could easily cook real meals if you wanted. Check in/out was easy and convenient (a checkbook is helpful!) I'd definitely come back to Simpler Times if I am in the Catskills again, and I'd certainly recommend to anyone else who's planning to visit!”

“The Otesaga is a grand old resort hotel that has been gracefully brought into the 21st century. Our room is beautiful and comfortable. Climate control is easy to use and does the job. It isn't easy to make a historic building ADA compliant. I'd give the Otesaga a B, as a guest with mobility and hearing issues. Entering the building through a side entrance is a bit of a downer. The bed in our room was high enough to provide a challenge. However, the shower with bench in the bathroom was great, as was the turning room in both the bedroom and bathroom. We've enjoyed our stay very much.”

“My parents have a new vacation RV and they are new to the experience. This was their first time camping out of their RV. They traveled down from Toronto to visit me in Woodstock and we wanted to go camping out of it for a night. We chose this campground because it was one of the few accepting guests into late October, and it’s close to Kaaterskill falls. The woman on the phone was really friendly. The site was super quiet, we hardly saw anyone. They have a great area for kids with stuff like a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, and a game room with a pool table. It was really ugly weather unfortunately but the campsite itself was clean and there’s tons of grills for cooking EVERYWHERE. overall really fair prices for full hookups and a quiet space.”

I love the way the 2nd level of rooms, where I stayed, has a really nice green carpet that goes all the way down; that's the very first thing I noticed and was so glad that I was given a room on the second level. One could almost imagine living in some quaint village as cute as this place is. The bathroom is very nice as is the bedroom, with its glass mirrors at the headboard. The bathroom has just a shower stall, but its great that it has a stand to place soap. I hope to be able to stay here again.”

“I went this past weekend for a bachelorette party and had the most fantastic time ever! The price may see intimidating but is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. The food was fantastic every meal! The staff is incredibly friendly. There are so many activities to choose from. Our favorite handler was Amber! Shes very friendly, personable, and extremely good at her job! She was so professional I was stunned to learn how young she is! We requested her for our trail rides and was not disappointed. Ask for Amber and you will have a blast! Can't forget to mention how well behaved the horses are! They know exactly what they're doing and are very trust worthy. Don't debate about booking a trip, just do it!”
