“So much to look at! We made a day trip as if we were going to a small zoo! If you can't find what you are looking for in this pet store, then I wouldn't know where else to go! Clean cages for the live animals and they answered my questions with ease. Biggest fresh water and salt water selection I have ever seen. “Ran into the owner Geraldine couple of weeks ago and stopped by their retail shop & absolutely fell in love! My puppy Haru enjoyed the toy and especially the cute water bowl! Haru loves his new water bowl so much that he started to drink more water! I also appreciated that all of their products are from local small businesses - not to mention they are sooo adorable! We just participated their puppy group class this past weekend and had a blast! Thank you Rich & Geraldine for offering in person puppy group training during COVID!! The class is well structured, you get a lot of attention from the trainers being it is a super small class. We also felt very safe because class size is super small, only one owner per puppy is allowed in, and face mask at all time during class. The store & daycare are super clean, well decorated, and homey! We can’t wait for our next puppy class and next visit so I can spoil my pup with some more treats and toys!”

So I really lucked out by living within a 5 minute walk of this place, and basically made it my second home the moment I discovered it. It’s got everything I want: Dogs! Incredible, friendly staff. A whole group of regulars that I’ve made friends with over the years. Coffee, beer. Art. Parties and events. Live music. Great location. DOGS! I’ve since moved out of Astoria, and this place really is one of the main things I miss. I’ve got countless good memories over the years. Hanging out here was a consistent part of my daily life and it’s really rare to find such a strong local community feeling, but this cafe has it. Go here, play with dogs, meet incredible people. You’ll love it, definitely recommended!”

“We have been bringing our dog, Charlie, to Wagging Tails for almost two years. He is a goldendoodle so very high maintenance, his cuts take 3 hours, yet they have no problem doing what we ask for and were very patient with us the first few months trying to figure put how we like his cut. Charlie loves going there, which is a testament to how well they take care of him while in their care. They even give us tips on how to maintain the cuts to increase the time between grooming. We often get complimented on his grooming, we highly recommend them!”
