Ambiance was really fun too. However - it was LOUD with the screaming kids. Not the restaurants fault, but something to keep in mind if you have a family member that wears a hearing aid like we do. He couldn't participate in the conversation it was so loud. they should seat families with small children in one section.”

Cole’s Dockside is just one of those hidden Gems on Staten Island. It’s a great atmosphere and a great location. It has an excellent waterside view. With respect to the food. As I mentioned above, excellent. However, simply saying the food is excellent is not enough. When you go to a restaurant like Cole’s Dockside presentation is also an important part of the experience. I must say, the plate presentation was great. The decoration of the plates were wonderful. Props and bonus points for the food plating. Overall an outstanding experience. Highly recommend for anyone.”

As soon as I saw their recent comment I couldn’t resist but write my own. Some people are very negative and just like to ruin it for other people as well, such a shame. Their food is delicious and they are very professional, just look at their daily specials and you’ll be surprised. “My grandmother and I went to this restaurant today. We really enjoyed our experience! The food is absolutely delicious, prices are appropriate and the serving size is huge. I ordered the catfish with grits and my grandmother ordered shrimp with grits. Both were apart of the “brunch” special area. I had 4 pieces of fresh catfish and my grandmother had 7 pieces of large shrimp! The batter was very light Well seasoned but not salty. Plenty of grits and they start you off with delicious warm cornbread and butter. Customer service is amazing! The lighting is not so great during the day, but I look forward to trying dinner here soon! Highly recommended!!”

Heroes used to be packaged in a cardboard box. This time, for an island noted for the largest refuse landfill, styrofoam packaging was only disappointment. For that alone a 4-star rating. The excellent flavorful offerings never deviate from 5-star otherwise.”
