“Came in earlier in the day to see how the spot would hold up for a hockey game that evening. TONS of tv’s. Superb prices. The bartender Gigi(hopefully remembering that correctly) was on point. Just the kind of bubbly attentive service you’d love. We returned in the evening and were blown away by the service then as well. We had the best spot in the house with a huge projector style showing of the game. I was impressed with the French onion soup, which is surprisingly easy to go wrong, but theirs was on point. We can’t wait to visit again.”

“Maxon’s restaurant is a welcoming oasis of rustic charm. Our waitress seated us at the window booth and was friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken wings of course and the hot sauce tasted fantastic as did the homemade blue cheese. The Mrs. ordered an inside out cheeseburger (grilled cheese on the outside of the bread!) She loved it obviously. Beer selection is good with many craft options. Will go again when in the area!”

“Love Beer Bones! Love the rotating menu of draft beer from local breweries. If you can't find something there you like, there is also a large selection of canned beers. The menu is so unique and has a little bit of everything. One of our staples is the Chicken N Hots. Just the right amount of heat and so delicious! “My table of 2 ordered the yucca puffs as an appetizer, which were well seasoned, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. For our main dishes we ordered the red curry fish tacos and the injera plate with chicken. Everything was super tasty, and fun to eat. I think my favorite part of the meal was the fish tacos. This was a great experience because everything tasted amazing while also being easy to share. The servers were very kind and attentive as well. I enjoyed the experience of eating here and will be back again for sure!”

“Although I was unable to take pictures.. The Prime Rib and Eggs breakfast was delicious. A full serving of prime rib, eggs over easy with sourdough toast and hash browns. A full course meal for any size appetite. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️that’s right 10 stars to the Chef it was the first time in at least 20 years I have ordered eggs over easy at a restaurant and there were no crispy edges or bottom (which grosses me out). “Can’t wait to go back. The best part? Some of the menu options were very affordable. We paid about $4.00 for each plate but keep in mind, it came with no sides but still filling! The drinks were actually my favorite part. We tried different juices such as maracuya (passion fruit) and mora (blackberry). We also liked the chips that were served as a starter. It has a small flame to keep the chips and beans warm. The worst part? The only part I didn’t like was that I had asked for my dish with no cheese and when they started serving plates, the waitresses were opening each tortilla with bare hands to check which one was mine. Other then that, it was a good experience and I’d go back for sure cause the food was great.”

“We hosted my baby shower here and had the best experience with everything! A little backstory: my mom handled most of the planning, and with pregnancy brain, unfortunately, I don’t recall all the staff’s names - sorry! Initially, we booked Tewksbury for my bridal shower last spring. But COVID happened so we postponed it about a year. Then, we embarked on parenthood in between, so my mom pivoted bridal shower to baby shower. And the staff was super kind and accommodating throughout all those changes! The event manager and chef were very responsive, kind, and on-the-ball while planning with my mother. I believe she even added and adapted items for the menu. They basically said - you tell us what you want as far as a dinner. We did an evening shower! For the event itself, all the staff was wonderful. They worked with us on spacing out tables to make it a bit more COVID safe. We also were able to get in about an hour or so early to decorate (even though they had an event before us). The dinner was delicious - we did a plated, served meal and everyone loved it. They also have a separate bar area for folks to go get their own drinks which was great throughout the event. The space was big, bright, clean, and open. We had a lovely view before the sun went down. The venue supplied all the tables, linens, and some seasonal decorations. They also have a large mounted TV if you want to do a slideshow. They let us bring in (mostly) anything we wanted - we brought decorations, flowers, signage, favors, and the desert display. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and an amazing shower! We would definitely host an event here again in the future and most of our guests said the same. Thank you!!”

“As you can tell from previous reviews they tend to run hot and cold on the quality of their food but tonight they were on fire, the boneless wings were tender and nicely sauced, the chips, wedge fries and onion rings were also very good. The big surprise was the fried shrimp crisp, tender and the mango fire sauce is the perfect compliment. I just want to add we have been customers since the beginning and I can only remember a hand full of times, out of the dozens of visits , that we weren’t completely satisfied.”

“The food was delicious and plentiful. Our waitress and hostess checked on us frequently. We were offered indoor and outdoor seating. Having chosen the indoor we found it to be quiet even though the restaurant was full. We chose the Saturday night special of prime rib. Cooked perfectly, the seasoning was perfect as well as the crust on top. We both had the french onion soup and agreed it was also delicious having had many bad versions of this in the past we savored it, even scraping the crusty cheese off the rim. They gave me a double serving of vegetables since I was not interested in a baked potato. My husband and I had been staying in Niagara Falls and found this gem because all the restaurants of this caliber were totally booked. We had visited Lockport to do the Erie Canal tour and since it was only a 20 mile ride checked out Trip Advisor to see what restaurant might be offering the menu we were looking for since we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We plan a return trip to Niagara Falls and I anticipate a return visit to Shamus.”

“Vegan bowl is great. Ingredients are similar to Indian food (rice, beans, okra, zucchini), but it's the spices and herbs that set this cuisine apart. I've never had West African food before, and happy I did now. This vegan bowl was rated as one of the NYTimes top 25 dishes in NYC, and I agree/ can see why bc of how different it is from other cuisines you'll have.
