“The small restaurant is a typical location of the Lark Street area. A few tables spaced apart. The hostess/server was so charming and friendly. She answered all of our questions about the cuisine. You can eat here inexpensively but we wanted to try a little of everything. Great flavors and decent portions. Just be aware of parking. They seemed to be doing a great takeout as well. I was sad that my homemade lemonade slipped and fell out of my hands 😔 Even bought a "Son of Egg" little wool hat for my granddaughter 🧡”

“Nice little spot! Donuts are hands down the best! You better eat one in the car while they are warm! Red Pepper Gouda soup is FANTASTIC!! Get the big container and thank me later... However, oddly the place doesn't sell cider...that's right...no cider! The apple beverage is called "Squeeze" - it's a mixture of apple and pear juice, which is a bit strange. It's the only cider mill I've been to in the area that doesn't sell 100% apple cider. In the end, glad we came by, donuts were fire, soup was killer...but no cider...”

She was also very helpful on giving us insights to the city and what to check out. The burger and shoestring fires were excellent. “New York is quickly becoming one of my favorite food cities. I caught this place on my way out of Long Island and they didn't disappoint. Well, a little because I came for the Rasta Pasta and they weren't selling it that day. Nonetheless, I ordered the oxtails and they were so tender and well seasoned. I wish I had more time to try the rest of their menu but I had a flight to catch. Their price was higher than Jamaican Dutch Pot but good food is good food. It was a great sized portion as well. Long Island has been good to me. I will be back.”

“I got the falafel bowl. If you are debating about this place versus another about your falafel place, please look no further. Its a Sunday night and I decided to satisfy my falafel craving all the way from Richmond Hill. It was the best choice ever. IMO, it's more on the side of chinese noodle soup than authentic Japanese ramen (kinda the same tbh), but putting that aside, my favorite thing about their food is the tonkotsu-shoyu broth and their crisp char-sui slices. It's perfect. Lunch time is generally busy. Great atmosphere, open space. Karaage is so-so, but I didn't really come for their karaage. Pictures are Butadon (char-siu rice bowl), Karaage with side sauce, and two pics of tonkotsu ramen. Parking is plenty.”

“On weekends when I'm out of town and Monday meal prep is either limited or unlikely, the Healing Meals' lunch/dinner delivery option is a big help. Delivery is always on time or early, ordering online is convenient, no subscription is necessary, and there are usually at least a couple of appealing food options. Serving sizes here work better for me than those of frozen dinner/ lunch alternatives and I like that salads are part of the line up. Two things about star rating: If I could do half stars, food would be 4.5; including a higher proportion of veggies and taking measures to keep chicken a little more moist (admittedly this is probably a tall ask when cooking is in batches and trying to make sure nothing is undercooked is important) would win the half star. I can't comment on the atmosphere, have not been in person.”
