I called and as a new patient got an immediate appointment. There was no wait time when we arrived. I was so impressed at how gentle and patient he was with both children. He listened to their concerns and their stories. He answered all the questions we had. He treated the children and in the following visits he molded orthotics for their shoes. He took his time and showed that he is a master of his craft. I would recommend Dr.Purvin to any family and am so relieved that he is our podiatrist.”

They had super large parties and I know they were very busy but managed to check in on us often enough.”

“I have been on PD dialysis for 3yrs, here at Davita the staff has been exceptional. They helped me understand and cope with what was happening to me. I started with nurse Aida who was the best thing this center had to offer, she no longer works there, now I have the next best nurse Dabora. The clinic is always neat and clean, and never over overcrowded. I did have one incident here a year ago. I accidentally cause a tear in my catheter. And needed it changed, I called the on call nurse as instructed, by her, she told to clamp the tear and report to my dialysis center the following day, Aida wasn’t on duty, the head nurse Vicky was supposed to handle my problem. She couldn’t I had to take a cab to my Surgeon who, was upset that they sent me to him and wasted his time with something he called “a easy fix”. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. I stressed it to Davita and was told. That the HEAD nurse didn’t fell comfortable changing it. I told them then you need to train them until they feel comfortable enough to do their job. And I requested a refund for my Ubers, they said they would and never did and never address it again. At that point I did not take any further action, I left it alone, I didn’t want to get my blood pressure up anymore. If it happens again, I told them I will just leave and find another facility. That has enough trained staff to help me when an emergency happens.”

“I've been going to Sacred Space's yoga classes for almost a year now. I have also attended some of their workshops (Past Life Regression, Intuitive Development) and been in one of their Full Moon Meditation Reflections sessions. Sacred Space has amazing yoga instructors- Jen SM, Jen N, Ana, Alex and more. I enjoyed all of my vinyasa yoga classes and workshops. 100%. The space almost always exudes of peace and serenity. It's like there is always something to discover there, except it is the same space and it is just me who is changing. I have gotten a lot stronger through the yoga classes and I was able to explore and play with my intuition and inner wisdom at their workshops. I have not spent this much money on my own personal and physical development before, but I don't regret it at all! (Some of their workshops seem expensive at first, but I feel it is worth it.) The classes and workshops at Sacred Space just speak to me at a fundamental level at this point in my life that attending them is irresistible. Sacred Space is the best thing I've found since moving to Astoria.”

“My teeth were not in great condition for quite a while. It was obvious when I would speak, or laugh, or smile. And I was aware of it, but blocked it out of my mind as much as I could, so much so that a lot of the time I would forget to try to hide it. I knew I needed to address the issue, but for a myriad of reasons, I kept putting it off. However, the last few weeks were the last straw. My front teeth looked horrible, and one was so loose I feared a stiff breeze would knock it from my jaw. I was reduced to eating ramen noodles every day. And my mental health and attitude were on a constant downward spiral. Finally, I reached out to a childhood friend who happens to be an exemplary dentist. Just the best. He had done work for me before, a few years back. We discussed what I needed, we discussed payment, and we discussed all options. He went above and beyond what you would’ve thought was feasible. He made me comfortable about the process on every level. And then, we decided we would do it. That was Thursday. This picture was taken today, just four days later, with me sporting my new smile. “I was recommended this location by a fellow colleague of mine who resides nearby, so I put an order in over the phone right around the time they opened up at 11:30AM with a roughly 5 hour delay in pickup which they had no issues handling. My order consisted of an appetizer proportion of the Breaded Mushrooms with Marinara Sauce and the dinner proportion of the Baked Haddock Au Gratin with a Side Salad and Waffle Fries. When I arrived everything was ready and waiting for me, and after paying for it all I was on my way back home with my goods. Once I did get into the meal it was still fresh and warm, except for the waffle fries which had gone cold sadly. But the breaded mushrooms made up for them in spades, perfectly fried outside, juicy inside, and paired amazingly with the sauce. And while cold, the fries were still fantastic. Great crispiness, good flavor, just needed some ketchup real bad which I think would have been the better offering instead of the tartar sauce for the fish. Speaking of which, the baked haddock was sadly the lamest duck of the bunch. While the fish was cooked properly and very tasty, the cheese was anything but gooey. Whatever cheese they used had hardened during the baking process and formed a kind of shell on the top of the fish, resulting in an awkward to cut meal. Still, even as hard as it was, the flavor was there and overall I was not dissatisfied with my choice. All in all I paid $29.76 (before tip) which seems like an acceptable price for the meal I got, but I'd recommend they change the cheese they use to something softer like a mozzarella or fontina which will stay soft even after melting.”
