“Update: Having been a member now for a month, I am happy to say I am still pleased with my choice in joining this location. The front staff are always friendly. I never have issues waiting for the treadmill, cycling, or rowing machines. The weight machines can get busy sometimes but I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Lockers are well kept. Massage chairs are great. Sauna is hot and clean. The only minor complaint I have is that they recently removed the towel locker at the front entrance. You are now limited to 2 towels per visit, which is pretty inconvenient. I get saving on costs, but the abundant towel service is a part of what makes the experience here feel more upscale. Taking that away makes coming here more of a utilitarian experience and less luxurious. I say bring back the towels! Or better yet, upgrade them. One other suggestion: upgrade the shampoo, conditioner, and body soaps. Literally, if you all did that, I would never bat an eye at Equinox. ***** I honestly don't understand why this location received such negative reviews. I just toured and signed up for membership today. Compared to the other gyms, NYSC is a great value. Passport membership was only $75 a month for access to all locations, though I got a corporate discount, so brought it down to $60. The gym has four levels, it's well lit, the locker room is clean, there's towel service, there's a sauna, tons of equipment, and my personal favorite, pilates reformer machines and classes. The reformer classes alone cost $35 a pop anywhere else in the UES. The front desk receptionists were nice and the trainer Jane was very friendly and welcoming. The only other options in the UES would be Crunch fitness, where the monthly rate is $100 for a single location or $270 at Equinox. I've been to Crunch fitness. It's perfectly fine too, and they have great classes, but it was a little too dark and the layout was a little weird. Equinox is great, but for that price point, no thanks. There's the 92Y and Asphalt Green, but again, they are both similar in pricing as Crunch, with access to only one location. I initially thought there wouldn't be enough class offerings for me at NYSC because they don't seem to advertise it online but after signing up, there's an app that you can use to register for the many classes at all their locations, and they are not full. So you can literally take yoga, pilates, HIIT, cycling, martial arts, etc for a fraction of the cost of regular studios. Ultimately, I think NYSC is the best deal in the UES for convenience, variety, quality, and pricing. Side note: I'm a former Class Passer, and I am canceling my subscription plan.”

“This store is so beautiful! My friend and I were greeted so warmly. We were given a lovely tour by one of the associates. Couldn't remember her name until my second visit. Victoria:) she was so full of energy and delightful! I could not get over how much she knew about the products! She helped my friend make a custom ring which was gorgeous! And she purchased a lovely picture frame. One of the prettiest stores in the Woodbury Commons! I'm planning my wedding and she did I can come back with my bridesmaid and we can all make a ring. “I am currently on my second year living at Cedar Crest Apartments. The apartments are decent size and good quality and are right down the road from most big-name businesses in Amsterdam which has been convenient. In my experience the grounds have been well maintained year-round. During the winter, after snowfall, plows go through the parking lot and grounds crews shovel the sidewalk and put salt down. I have never had an instance where snowfall hindered me from driving out of the parking lot or walking along the sidewalk. There have been a few instances where the garbage bins have been overfilled, but this was uncommon, and I was still able to dispose of my trash. Someone previously had mentioned that some of the benches were broken, all of which appear to have been removed a few months ago. The last couple weeks I’ve regularly seen people tending to the grounds now that winter weather is behind us. Maintenance has been quick with any issues I’ve had. I recently had our dryer break, and maintenance was able to replace the unit the following day without issue. There are some minor blemishes; the front doors could probably use some fresh paint and some of the handicap signs are cracked, but overall, I haven’t seen any significant issues. The apartments are also pet friendly and have designated places with plenty of grass for walking. The price to live here is more expensive than you can find elsewhere in Amsterdam, but I’ve felt that I’ve gotten my moneys worth.”

“The room has multiple chairs that are very comfortable for sitting and watching the games. Behind does chairs are a bunch of tables where you can say eat food with a group of people and relax and watch the games. To the right of the TV or the chamber guys who are there to take your bets. To the left of it they're automated machines as well as more behind the tables where you can place your own bets. They are showing all the major sports games and the TVs are pretty clean. Usually smells like degenerate gambling and weed.”

“This is a Spanish and Jamaican grocery store a quick stop place. The food here is excellent cooked well with great taste. Also cakes are baked here homemade not a box by scratch. People are Pleasant here when you check out and friendly too. I go there often.they have a lot of interesting drinks from different countries such as Jamaica and Puerto Rico and I go there often to get them. Such as Irish moss and Malta beer and ginger beer and they're good for you better than soda”
