“I brought my four-year-old daughter in today to see Dr. Christina J. Collura who tested her for a sesame allergy. She tested positive before and we wanted to see where she was with her allergy. I was a bit nervous that they would want to test her for everything again, but when the nurse called us back, she asked me what I wanted to have her tested for and the sesame allergy was the ONLY thing they tested for. Dr. Collura was amazing with my daughter. She played with her as she checked her vitals and really made my daughter feel comfortable with the entire process. When my daughter started to break out in a rash (due to the reaction to the sesame test), they gave her medication immediately and continued to monitor her for a while to make sure her reaction did not progress. After that, Dr. Collura sat down and spent a great deal of time explaining all the things we should avoid. She answered every question I had, and even got online to research a specific question and came back with a very detailed answer. She also listed some support groups and informational web sites for me to go to, and after all that, she made sure that all my questions were answered. I left her office feeling even more educated than before about my daughter's sesame allergy. I highly recommend Dr. Collura, especially if you have children who need to be tested for severe food allergies. She is amazing!”
