Not only does Betsy have vast experience, knowledge and expertise teaching music to children, but she is kind, patient and passionate about working with them. With her husband, John (an amazing guitar instructor) the Gurskes have created a special music school for all ages with a caring atmosphere. For years, they have been giving their time and talents working with children who have special needs, and have expanded to include Kindermusik’s early literacy program to Title 1 pre-K children in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school district. Both of my children took lessons at music.4.life from preschool through middle school, including Kindermusik, piano, guitar and jam band, which gave them a firm musical foundation and developed their musicianship. I am forever grateful to the Gurskes and music4life for the marvelous experiences we had with them.”

He’s very thorough with his explanations and always has a solid answer for my many questions.
